I liked the premise of this book. I liked how we saw both before and now. I liked David, I liked Ben. What I couldn't really connect with was Zara. As much as she kept David at arms length, I felt the reader was also kept at arms length, I just couldn't warm to her. As such, I felt I couldn't really feel the couple' chemistry and connection, I couldn't really root for them. I also felt the story needed something, some drama, something dramatic to spice up the story.

This was the first Heaven's Hill book I read and I really liked the feel of it. The sense of family you get is very strong and something I'm naturally drawn to. I liked aren't and Tatum's story, although I do think reading their novella is an absolute must. I tried to read Hurricane before it but things made much more sense afterwards. The one drawback for me with this book was the writing, as much as it pains me to say. I know it's still going through edits but I felt it was terribly unpolished and it felt rushed to me. I love Laramie's stories and writing style, so this was a big shock, but to me at times it was a bit off putting. There was a lot of repetition and some of the dialogue was awkward. Sorry!

This was a sweet book and a solid addition to the Southern Heart series. I really liked the distance aspect but I wished more could've been made of the development of Jamie and Mike's relationship as it started. I also would've liked a little more drama, or spice, or something to lift the story. I felt it was a little pedestrian and needed something to give the story some life.

This was a sweet book with flaws. I found Colton's demands weren't backed by his other actions, events were rushed and parts were predictable. I also felt like Colton's feelings weren't really explained or developed, they just happened with no explanation as to why he was feeling the way he did.
It was a nice read, I just don't think it was particularly well developed. Sorry.

Devon and Bryce are one of my absolute favourite book couples. They won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I absolutely adore them. I love the drama, the absolute devotion, the progress of their relationship. For me, these books have everything I want in a book.

I found this book slightly strange. For most of the book I found the going slow and not relevant. I don't understand the need for all the history which played a such a small part in the overall story. I also found Coby a bit immature, which I know was the point, but it started to grate after a while. Gage was an incredible character and I wished for more of him, he was a breath of fresh air.
The development of Ellie and Coby's relationship was so slow and I'm still not overly convinced about it either... so much of this book didn't really make sense to me,
Sorry.

Holy Lord! I loved this book! It sucked me in from the very first word. I love Rainey, she's fantastic, and Levi... there are no words.
When We Were Young is heart wrenching, and heart warming, and will have you reaching for the tissues while swooning at the same time!
This book is heartfelt and real and needs to be read immediately!

Oh wow! I loved this book! The characters were much more likeable this time around and the humour was fantastic!
I admit I wasn't taken that much by ADSOM, but this, well, it hits all the right spots!
Plus Alucard and Rhy are just perfect!
