Let me say, third person isn't usually my favourite to read, but here I didn't mind it. I also didn't mind the New Orleans setting or the police knowledge the author obviously has.
But I needed more angst with the story. I needed struggle, with self, with the other person, I just needed more. I also felt it was fairly obvious what was going to happen from the word go and to me, Gage was not an obvious choice as a bad boy.
Just lacking a bit for me, sorry!

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the college atmosphere, as well as the action from the football and cheerleading, it was pretty great!
I wish it would’ve been a bit longer though, the tension stretched out a little more, more time spent with Jay and Kayla as a couple but it was a really enjoyable read, I’d highly recommend it to all sports/college romance lovers!

I was intrigued by the pre use of this book but I’m afraid it didn’t live up to my expectations. There was very little storyline or development of characters. I understand it’s a short book, but there was just nothing happening character wise. There was more going on with the set up of the next book (I assume) than what happened with Dylan and Rose.
Not a favourite, sorry.

I genuinely liked this book. I think Holden and Leighton are a great couple and I loved their story. I did find the details hard to follow at times as it's so intertwined with other books in the series. I also found it a bit light on details about the characters, besides what we already knew. I felt like I didn't really get to know them. But what did shine through was their relationship and I did genuinely like that.
This is a great series and I can't wait to read the other guys' stories!
