Holy wow! This book blew me away! I never knew there could be such depth to these types of characters! This book was everything you could want and then some. I truly have no words for how great this book is or how much I loved it!

I wanted to be taken with this book but it just didn't do it for me. There were WAY too many similarities with a Court of Thorn and Roses for me to ignore or to stop comparing to. Needless to say, this didn't stack up terribly well. I was also annoyed by the constant switching between calling Des Des or the Barginner. I didn't understand the differences. The inconsistent use of swearing was also a little strange to me. Overall, not a favourite at all.

I liked this book. Maggie and Canaan were great, as were the supporting characters. I did think there would be a bit more angst, a bit more rehashing of the past, but it was kind of refreshing there wasn't, even if I think there kind of needed to be a little bit more.
This was a very enjoyable book and would recommend it!
