I liked this book, and I like this series.
I do think the various titles, and tribes, and positions are confusing, as they were in the first book. It would be helpful if the glossary and all that were in the front of the book, not the end.
I also wasn’t a fan of the pacing of this book. It was so slow for what I would say is 60% of it. I’m not entirely sure it was entirely necessary to build everything up for that long.
But, I did like muntadhir and jamshid and am looking forward to the final book.

2.75 stars.
Ugh, this book was depressing as hell. And bland as.
There was no difference between the action sequences, the romantic bits, the info-dumps of time passing.
There was no difference between Pyrrhus’s deeds and the cooking of lamb.
For the life of me I do not understand why people are raving over this book. I had such high hopes given my newfound interest in mythology but this would’ve been enough to kill it dead had it been the first one I read.

I wanted to like this book so much, but even though this has it marked as fast-paced, I didn’t find it particularly so.
Nothing was explained and it took a while to get to the point.
I also didn’t find this as Asian-inspired as I wanted or hoped, so I’m DNF-ing.

I absolutely adored this story! I’m beginning to like mythology more and more and this is a great way to explore!
I do kind of wish there were more information about which god/goddess is which, but I’m getting my head around it! Can’t wait to read more!

This book surprised me! I wasn’t expecting to like it, and certainly not as much as I did.
Olive was silly, but relatable.
Adam was an awesome grumpy, but also super sweet!
I loved them together.
I loved Holden and Anh and Malcom as well.
This is a great, light, rom-com and I really enjoyed it!

I absolutely adored this book!
I loved the four guys. I loved the story.
It did get a little hinky for me around page 300-ish, but I stuck with it and the boys pulled through.
I also found it a touch difficult at the start when you’re getting to know the boys, and their on-stage personas, it gets confusing, but it’s okay.
Another thing is the almost overuse of the word “like”. I get it, but it doesn’t mean I want to read it.
Still, this is a great book, and very uplifting.
If you’re a what if it’s us fan seriously give this a go!

This book wasn’t really what I thought it was going to be and just wasn’t for me. It starts off fast but things aren’t really explained and the falling star thing is weird. It’s also a bit contradictory.

I read this book years ago during my hunger games/divergent phase and I have to say this one is in a similar vein. But better than divergent lol
I liked this book. It’s your typical ya distopian story but has a solid love story.
This book is very much the foundation for what’s to come, and reads, and is paced, as such.
I’m not sure when I’ll have time to reread the second and third book, and read the fourth (which I didn’t know existed), but I won’t mind a refresher!

This is an okay book.
I’ve picked this one up a few times and read the sample, and never wanted to progress passed it. I did this time and it was okay.
There’s nothing fantastic about this book.
I found the relationship kind of came out of nowhere, and after a super slow start, things felt rushed after that.
While I do wonder what happens in the rest of the series, I can kind of figure it out, but I’m not really intrigued enough to finish it.

I adored this duet!
When I first read enchantee I didn’t remember the bad bits, but the not-so-happy parts are what make this book so great.
It speaks of revolution, and poverty, and unfairness, and fear. But it also speaks of love and hope.
I love how Camille comes of age in this book.
I love Lazare.
I also love Sophie, and rosier, and Chandon.
I love how the story evolved. I love how the characters grew.
I loved everything about this duet.
