I loved this book and this series!
This book was great. I loved Keris and Zarrah and Sara.
I did find it at times slow as we built up to where the traitor queen got to, and I found most of my problems came from the concurrent timelines. I was waiting until we got to the parts we already knew about, and was inpatient to get there.
Still, I understand what happened and why it did and the book needed it.
It’s a great series, very spicy too, and I can’t wait for the final book!

Lord, this book is slow. And boring. And slow.
I tried, I really did. I wanted to push through, but even reading the last chapter, okay, some of it, I just couldn’t bring myself to care how we got to that point.

A solid end to the series.
I liked this one a little less than the second book, there were so many loose ends to tie up here and the pacing was a little slower and was less action packed.
One thing I did love was the personalities of the phoenixes. I absolutely adore them and they add a much needed lightness to the book.
I also loved the romance in this book, it was a great counterpoint.
Overall, a solid series and one I’m glad I continued with!

I absolutely adored this book! It was incredible! So cute, and complex, and surprising!
I loved the humour in this book, it was perfect.
I liked the way everything came together and the reasons behind certain things.
I wasn’t keen on the time-travel-y aspect of the book, but it was entertaining.
I loved Geiki. He was perfect and I will not hear a bad word about him!
Miuko was a strong character, and great as a central character.
The other side characters were great too and I enjoyed them immensely.
I did have a slight problem pronouncing words, despite the footnotes, and remembering what certain words meant, but I still love this book!

3.5 stars.

I had really high hopes for this book, but it feel super flat for me. It read so young, like, really young. Like almost middle grade.
And the storyline wasn’t particularly sophisticated or complex. Everything happened was kind of one note, when it could be so much more.
Still, I did like the humour and the cast, but this book just wasn’t for me.

This was a good end to this duet.
I loved Lara in this book and how strong she was.
I also liked seeing Aren fight.
Another thing I liked was the side characters, as well as the new ones who came in and how they fit.
One thing I do wish was that there was more info at the end, that it was a little extended, but I’m looking forward to the next duet!

This was a pleasing read, but a little too inspired by Bridgerton for me. There are too many similarities for me to see too far past it.
Still, Kitty and James were great, strong, well-rounded characters.
Archie and Cecily were almost embarrassingly annoying and naïve.
I also felt too much time and effort was spent trying to set up future books for my liking.
Still, an easy, unobtrusive read.

An okay book. It’s cute and quick to read/listen to.
I did have a little trouble keeping up with the characters, not knowing this was the second book in the series, which makes other things fall into place.
I did enjoy the humour here, but do wish I had known this was the second book.

This book was such a disappointment to me. I loved scavenge the stars, but this book was missing everything that made the first book great.
The plot plodded from point to point, with characters coming and going out at will. There was nothing explosive, and one could argue the most explosive plot point happened off the page.
The romance also felt like an afterthought, with Amaya and Cayo not ever having a heart to heart or seeming to work out their shit.
I was so looking forward to this book, and it left me so empty.

I really enjoyed this book! The first one for me was okay, but this one blew me away and I’m sad I waited so long to wait to read it!
I loved the romance that ran through the book, as well as the humour from the phoenixes. That was especially brilliant.
I loved how the plot moved on at a great pace, and there wasn’t a dull moment.
I think some people might be annoyed by the multiple povs, but I didn’t mind too much, just that I wanted some more at different times.
But still, a great book!
