Yet another novel from Jane Harper that depicts the harsh realities of living in particular areas of Australia, along with the kinds of people we can face, no matter where we live. Whilst I didn't love this one as much as The Dry, it still had me captivated and wanting to know what really happened to Cam. I'm honestly not sure if I particularly liked any of the characters but there was a lot I wanted to find out, and unravel about this story and this family.
I had my thoughts about who might have been behind certain things, and in the end one of my choices was correct. Many things were revealed and brought to life in this story, and I would recommend. Would also read more from this author.

Holy wow. This book was lent to me by a work friend, who doesn't read anywhere near as much me, but said he loved this book. I can totally understand why. I was hooked right from the start with this one, and I just had to know what had happened in the past, and what the truth was behind the current most recent crime.
Harper brings to life the drought and small country town life in a very real way. The severity of drought here in Australia, and the struggles that our farmers face. Even things as how small communities like that know everything about each other. The book felt real. It dragged me in. I couldn't wait to pick it back up, each and every time I put it down.
The truth of the two mysteries that run through this book really caught me by surprise. I had thought about the culprits being the ones who had done it, but only in passing and not really with any real conviction. This story was wound together perfectly, fraught with mystery and echoes from the past. A real page turner, and I can't wait to read more books about Falk in the future, and any other books this author writes. Highly recommend.

A fun and very short story about Lavendar and Kody. Some sticky business mentioned.

I smashed through this book really fast. I've always been curious about Dean, as many readers have, and whilst I have a terrible memory when it comes to books, this one stands on its own enough that it didn't matter for me this time around.
Dean and Brielle were an interesting mix - I liked both characters and also the friends in the apartment complex. Cam was really sweet too. I didn't see the twist coming at the end - I mean, I had some ideas but I wasn't really quite on the mark for it.
Enjoyed this one and would recommend. Love this series.

This book was lent to me by someone who thought I would find it interesting since I do like to read crime fiction and mystery/thriller books. I'd seen the book around but hadn't really looked into it because I always have so many books on my TBR pile.
Well, I finally dove in, and this was unlike any other mystery book I've read. It strays from the typical way that you expect a storyline like this to run, and I was definitely not expecting that twist at the end.
This one definitely kept me enthralled and I would recommend. I would read more from this author in the future.

This was a sweet little novella to round off this series - and finally get Ben and Shannon, who I think anyone who's read the rest of the books has been rooting for, for quite some time. This was a fun and fast read, and I nice way to finish off the whole Miles Family series.

Oh Leo! Another favourite book in this series. Leo really tugged at my heartstrings in this one, and I could definitely understand his way of thinking, given what he's been through. Hannah is also a warrior and has been through so much herself too. This really starts off with a storyline that hooks you and makes you want to make everything right for these two characters.
I love them together and the way they navigate things together (for the most part, c'mon Leo you know what you did lol). I loved all the family parts with the Miles fam, and the ending, oh boy I did not expect that adrenaline rush and hit of emotions.
Loved this so much, what a great way to round out the Miles siblings. Highly recommend

Oh my gosh, where do I start? I wasn't quite sure how much I would love Cooper before I went into this. He was a character that I thought, maybe, would be annoying to me getting the whole book about him. BUT, and I'm happy to say this, I was TOTALLY WRONG. Cooper was just amazing. His and Amelia's story was so much fun. There were some serious bits too, like some storylines that have been a continuous thing through this series, but for the most part, this was just a lot of fun and a really enjoyable read. I couldn't wait to pick it up again after each time I had to put it down (damn you work, damn you).
Cooper is like an adorable little puppy - he's just so lovable and crazy and he might just be my favourite Miles yet. And the fact that Amelia speaks Cooper - lord how cute is that!
Absolutely adored this book and I've already moved onto the next. Loving this series and this world that Claire Kingsley has created. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a sucker for brothers best friend book, and this was no different. I loved getting to know the Miles family more, and Chase and Brynn were just awesome. I also liked how we got some more Grace (and a Logan!) appearance (I read the Bailey Brothers series first, so this was great for me). I love this crazy family and I can't wait to read more about them. Definitely recommend.

After reading the Bailey Brothers books, I'm on a Claire Kingsley binge, and needed to absolutely pick up this series next. This was a great introduction to the Miles family, and a story about second chances and family dynamics. I enjoyed this and look forward to more.
