It's been a while since I've read a Tess Gerritsen book, but I really enjoyed this and am glad I picked it up. The premise of retired CIA agents living in a small town but who get together regularly is really cool. But then when suddenly the past comes back to haunt one of them things get interesting and dangerous. The back and forth between the past the present to give us the full story was done well and I really enjoyed delving into this world. The story surprised me in ways and I definitely want to continue this series. Would recommend.

I was going through my books looking at what to read next and realised I hadn't finished this series - took a look on Goodreads and realised it's been two years since I read the second book, whoops! I picked this up wondering how much I would remember given the time, but I fell back into this world pretty easily. It was interesting to see both the human world and faerie world again and how certain characters were trying to take over and others trying to win back good graces. I actually liked Cardan in this book and I enjoyed the bits with Jude and her sisters/family as well. Read this fairly easily over a couple of days and liked the ending.

I tried with this one, I just couldn't get into the writing style. Which is a shame because it sounds like a good book. Hopefully others enjoy this and can get into it more than me.

I didn't mind this book - I was really annoyed at first by all the hate talk between the two, and the honestly just annoying way they treated each other. But something still kept me going and by the end I really wanted to see how the story played out. It took a really really long time before we finally understood just what had happened between these two in the past, longer than I would've liked, and the everything wrapped up nicely really quickly, but in saying that, for some reason I was still very intrigued by the story and how things would end. Not my fave, but also not too bad of a read.

I really enjoyed this book - I liked both our main characters and being older characters they were dealing with more adult problems than when books are written with fresh out of school characters. I love a second chance romance and a good hockey book, and so this was great, along with some great secondary characters too. Easy to read, would recommend.

The ending is what really brought the rating of this one up for me - I felt like this book was a fair bit slower than the others - I definitely think book one packs the most punch. Also given it had been 12 months since I read the last book, my memory wasn't the best, so it did take me a while to catch up with what was going on and who was who.

I still like all our main characters and when things really ramped up in this, I was hanging to know what was going to happen next. The ending did confuse me a little - I actually googled it to see if my thoughts were correct lol.

It will be interesting to see where Yarros takes this next.

This was my first book by this author but it definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed this, particularly how our heroine is more of a tomboy and is into cars and racing and things. I liked all the characters in this book (except of course the ones you're not meant to like) and I really like the family feel of the team at LT and would love to read the other books in this series about the other guys. Definitely recommend.

This one took me a little while to get into - I liked the idea of the storyline but it felt a little slow to me - not sure if that's my current reading phase right now or just the book for me in general. I liked the characters well enough, it just took me a while to get into. By the end though, I was quite hooked and really wanted things to work out for Mallory and Christian. I liked their ease and banter with each other and their communication was quite good too.

It took me a little while to get into this one, but I as interested enough to keep going. The story had me very curious as to what had actually happened that night up at that folly - there were plenty of twists and turns and I thought I had it figured out and then was totally thrown for who was actually the culprit and what the truth was. Was an interesting read by the end that definitely had me wanting to know what had happened.

I absolutely love Robert Bryndza books. The Kate Marshall series has been great so far, and this latest instalment was no different. I was intrigued in the idea of this new case from the start, and definitely wary about some parts of it. I had some figured out, and some only partially figured out, so that when the truth finally came to light at the end, there were still some surprises for me.

I really like both our main characters, Kate and Tristan, and Kate's son Jake was a good addition as always too in his parts that came up. I've always enjoyed cold case drama shows on TV and also found true ones to be interesting, so this being a cold case fiction novel was pretty much guaranteed to hook me.

I cannot wait for more in this series (or the Erica Foster one) and highly recommend.
