I've been keen to read this as I loved Sarina's first thriller novel last year. This one took me a little bit to get into (possibly just me not feeling the reading so much lately), but once I did, I was so curious to find out what on earth was going on. There are plenty of characters at play here, and you definitely question many many things. A few different POV's as well which helps add layers to the story without over complicating it. I actually figured out who our mystery killer was, but the reasoning and more depth to who they were had me guessing until the end. I hope Sarina keeps writing thrillers as she's got a great writing style with these and I'll keep coming back for more.

I read this one over a period of time as I did switch books for a while. I can't say I loved it, but I can't say I hated it either. I don't think I really connected with any of the characters, but the writing was good and the world building was too. Some interesting things touched on in this one.

I found this one alright - I didn't absolutely love the main characters but they were very likeable. I think I've started the year a little all over the shop with my reading which would be contributing to this as well. I liked how this is linked to the Toronto Terror world and I found this was fairly easy going story - there was honesty and ease with the main characters and their friends were great too. Of course some characters I really didn't like but what's a book without that? I'd be interested in reading more from this world and getting to know some of the other characters, for example Brody. Would recommend.

I was excited to finally read Nesta and Cassians story, however I will say that it dragged on a fair bit. It's a huge book and whilst there is a fair bit going on, at times it also felt like it was moving very slowly. I enjoyed the progress that Nesta made and the bonds and friendships she formed. I definitely did not see the big challenge at the end coming. I adored Cassian as per usual. A great story. I would also love to know what happens with Mor, Az and Elain in the future.

I enjoyed this but at the same time I was constantly finding myself confused because it's been so long since I read the More Than Series and I was struggling to remember who was who and what their back stories were. Thats more on me than the writing - as usual Jay's writing was great, and there were plenty of both serious and fun moments and the world building is great.

This was a more light hearted chapter of this series, with some serious moments thrown in, but without all the war talk and such. There was some, but it wasn't the main focus of this book. More so the characters, a bit more growth with them since the last books events and the family bond between them all. I'm so curious to see if Elain ends up with Lucien, if Mor finds happiness, what the connection is between Az and Elain and if he finds happiness, and who could forget Nesta and Cassian? Definitely looking forward to reading the next book and seeing how it all ends.

I'm really enjoying this series. I love the way the storyline develops over time, the way we get to know more and more about our favourite characters and their world, and I'm so curious to see what happens next. The battle scenes and monsters and characters that are all involved at the end keep the reader on their toes and really ramp up the ending of this book. Definitely recommend if you've been enjoying this series so far.

I don't really know how to write my review for this one. It was very slow to begin with, lots and lots of world and character building to set the scene and things. The storytelling perspective was different too. I eventually found myself so hooked that I just had to know what happened, but it took me until around the halfway point in the book before I really started to get that feeling. I was completely thrown by the ending and the whole story around the truth of the murder, certainly not what I was expecting.

This book had me absolutely hooked and I cannot wait to read the next one. I really loved how the relationship between Feyre and Rhys developed - I knew there was much to him than originally meeting the eye. I loved the part of this world we were taken into with this book and all the new things we learnt and discovered. I enjoyed all the parts with Cassian, Mor and the team as well - definitely keen to see how some particular things may play out there. And the ending? Well, hooley Dooley - quite a few things happening there which I'm very keen to see how they progress over the next few books. Highly recommend, I'm way more hooked on this series than I expected to be.

I absolutely devoured this book - I love this world that Michael Connelly has created, and I've said it before, and I'll say it again - he's my favourite crime writer. This latest book in the Ballard/Bosch universe gives us plenty - it's got Ballard doing things her own way and digging down, its got Harry in there and we got Maddie too which was fantastic.

I love how all 3 characters really bring something to the story, and even some of the rest of the Open Unsolved team too. A few things going on simultaneously in this, but Connelly has it all play out well and in a way that makes sense. I really liked how everything played out (except of course one sad thing that happens) and I'm so so keen to read more of this world. Highly recommend.
