ARC kindly received for an honest review.
This was a quick read as I find with many RVD books because I just devour them. Katya and Santino's story surprised me in a few places, but it was easy to get to know these characters and go through the story with them.
Our EE faves are of course there, and there are actually quite a lot of moments with them, which makes it even better. There are so many characters in this world though, that sometimes I find myself getting confused with who is related to who and who did what in the past. Terrible book memory there lol.
Some heart wrenching moments at the end of this one, and a full circle moment as well. Another great instalment.

This was an interesting book. It took me a little while to completely get into, but in saying that I was quite hooked by the end and really wanting to see what would happen. I don't know that I particularly liked any of the characters, so much as was intrigued by them and wondering what they would do next. Lots of twists and turns, and plenty of things I also didn't really understand (I don't read many Fae sort of books) but that I got the gist of enough to follow along well enough. It definitely ended with more of a surprise than I expected, and I'm moving straight onto the next book.

A fun little novella in this series. I've some of these, and out of order, but I vaguely remember reading Jacksons story and enjoying it, and this was a great lead in to that.

This was a good book - the story of trying to find out what happened to two boys who went missing 10 years ago, when they were 6 years old. It definitely took some twists and turns and there are some harsh moments, but there were lots of good ones too. Overall a good book even though things don't turn out how you'd expect, and a nice little happy surprise at the very end.

This was an interesting book. The idea of two guys coming into this small outback town and both claiming the exact same story - well something had to give, right? A look into both the past and present in this town and also the main character and I suppose you'd call him one of the main secondary characters. I really wasn't sure who was the culprit in this story and it took some time to really work it out. I was kept interested and would recommend this book. The ending was quite abrupt, and I know what we're supposed to assume happened, but I would've preferred a bit more clarity/finalised ending than what we got.

The idea of this book sounds really good, and I didn't mind the first chapter - but then the writing style changed and it just wasn't for me. I gave up 30 pages in. Probably plenty of others will like this, I just don't enjoy this type of style.

This one had an interesting opening, given how the last book seemed like it ended. As things get going and Harry chases down a case from his past, the current cold case that Ballard is focussed on takes a bunch of turns and becomes an interesting one. Bosch's case also in the end takes some turns, and the way the book ended, left me wondering how Connelly is going to move forward with Bosch. Little worried with how things are going to go there. Looking forward, as always, to the next release.

Love this world that Michael Connelly has created. Whilst Harry Bosch isn't our main character, he's still there giving us the good moments. But Ballard is our main character in this, and she's like to next generation Bosch lol. I really liked her work ethic and grit in this novel, and was really curious to read on and see how these cases would play out. Some interesting moments and another great novel from this author. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Another great story from Karin Slaughter. Will and Sara and what was happening in this storyline had me intrigued right from the start. An interesting topic especially given what we've been through in the last couple of years in the world. I was captivated and sped through this - looking forward to reading more in the future.

ARC kindly received for an honest review.
I spent the first part of this book a bit confused and unsure about what was going on above the very basic level or what I knew of the story. As things went on, everything definitely became clearer and I was definitely intrigued by our characters and what was going on. By the end I was quite hooked and invested in everyone and everything. This wasn't a bad novel and I would read more if there were more to come from this world.
