Tried this one but its not for me. Don't really feel like the magic/fantasy kind of tales right now. I'm sure others will enjoy, just not my taste at the moment.

This was a fun and light hearted book - I liked the main characters even if the situation with Millie frustrated me at times. The text threads between the friends were fun, the messages with Millie and Reid were cute. Just an easy book to read.

Finally got to read this after re-joining my library and discovering they actually hold the whole series in PB! I really liked this book - whilst the main characters are dealing with some issues with their marriage and second chance, it felt really light hearted and fun at the same time. The Bromance Book Club and their conversations and antics were funny and the whole guys getting into romance books and using them as a manual is a great plotline.

Would recommend and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Wow! I absolutely devoured this book. I was hooked instantly, and I clearly have a thing for those Ballistic men, because like his Dad Randy in the OG series, BJ has become my favourite!

This was such a great story - one of hardships and dreams and hope and the harsh realities of life in some situations. I really truly loved this - the friendship/family group, the way BJ and Winter were with each other - everything was just perfect.

Highly recommend!

I read this book after recently reading "Dying to Know" by this same author (her second book) and loving it. The good Mother is the first book written by Rae Cairns and it was great. At first it felt a little slow, but that may have just been my reading period/outside factors at the time I started this book.

Once you really got into it and Sarah gets on that flight, everything really snowballs and happens really fast. I didn't know who she should be trusting, what was really going on - was she over-reacting? Was she right to be acting the way she was and as scared as she was? Just how far would these people go?

Things played out in a way that I really did not expect, and the ending made me feel quite emotional. Gripping writing by this author, and now that I've read two of her books, I'll definitely be on the lookout for more. A new author to me who I suspect will become a favourite.

I enjoyed this book - small town romance is something I love and this had the whole brothers enemy thing as well. There's a lot to unpack in this, with things going on with Hayes, and the huge changes in Hattie's life as well. I liked the characters but sometimes I did feel like this dragged out a little bit at times. I found some emotional moments towards the end, and I'd say the last quarter of the book was what I enjoyed the most. I think this was a great introduction to a new world from Meghan Quinn, with some fun little easter eggs from her other books too. I'd be interested in getting books about Ryland, Aubree and Abel too.

I enjoyed this one - it took me a little bit to get into at the start, but once the story started building I was hooked, and very curious about how the things the gang were looking into were supposedly linked. I liked how this one was really more about our fave characters doing their thing on their own terms - I also really liked Amanda and her ways with Will.

This one really was throwing lots of questions out there and boy did it come together with a bang at the end. Definitely recommend this one, and looking forward to more from this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I've been reading Karin Slaughter and Grant County/Will Trent books for many many years now, and it was great to dive back into this - it's been a while since I read the previous book. Something about this one truly captured me. Whilst it jumps back and forth between the past and present because of the history of the case, for once it didn't really bother me that a book did that. Except for when it left me on a cliffhanger haha.

I don't know if its the truly horrific nature of the crimes in this one, but something just captured me and compelled me to continue reading and find out who the culprit really was. Slaughter has written this book extremely well and I could not put it down.

When we found out the truth I was thrown - I had not worked this one out. There was so much going on, but Slaughter weaves it all together so well, and the horrifying events and emotions that so many of the characters deal with really got me.

I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Highly recommend.

This was my first book by Rae Cairns and it certainly will not be my last. The storyline and characters kept me guessing, and by the time I got the end, the truth as to what had happened to Amber did surprise me. The ending also made me feel a bit emotional.

I really liked Gen and her drive to find the truth for her sister and to be there and look after her niece and nephew. I truly despised Hugh and his family, and the biker aspect intrigued me.

There was plenty going on this book, never a dull moment and I can't wait to read more from this author. Highly recommend!

I tried a couple of times to get into this book, as the synopsis is really intriguing. I found it was not my kind of writing style and my mind was constantly wandering because of this. I hope others find this book enjoyable as it does sound good, unfortunately just not for me.
