I enjoyed this book - small town romance is something I love and this had the whole brothers enemy thing as well. There's a lot to unpack in this, with things going on with Hayes, and the huge changes in Hattie's life as well. I liked the characters but sometimes I did feel like this dragged out a little bit at times. I found some emotional moments towards the end, and I'd say the last quarter of the book was what I enjoyed the most. I think this was a great introduction to a new world from Meghan Quinn, with some fun little easter eggs from her other books too. I'd be interested in getting books about Ryland, Aubree and Abel too.
