I really enjoyed this novella - and that's saying something, because I'm not normally good with short stories/books because of how short and rushed they tend to be. I only recently read this series, so it wasn't too hard for me jump back in and remember bits and pieces, even though there is a lot involved in this world and its stories.
I liked our main characters in this and the involvement of our faves from the prior books in the series. Even though its a novella, it didn't feel too rushed, and I felt that we got some personality from the characters too. Enjoyed this and would recommend.

I've liked Charlie Donlea books in the past but this one I just can't keep going with - it feels too all over the place - there are too many different storylines going on. I'm sure they all come together at some point, but I'm 20% through and finding that I just don't care enough to continue. I would've liked to have read the book in full, as it sounds really good, but unfortunately it's too all over the shop for me.

Kerry Buchanan is a new to me author, and I'm currently clearing out my NetGalley backlog - this one took me a second to get into, but I was suddenly invested in the story and wanting to unravel the truth. There are so many things that happen in this book and during the course of the investigation that really have you wondering. There were some things I don't think were truly closed off, and I'd say they'll continue on in the series, which I'd be interested in reading. I really liked Asha and Aaron as characters, and I'd recommend this book.

I'm not a huge MM fan, but there are some books I have enjoyed. Sarina Bowen seems to be one author whose MM books I do always like. This one was great. I really liked both Carter and Tommaso. For the most part this was just a fun and adorable book. The whole team dynamic was great, Carter and his friends were awesome (Carter himself is so adorable) and certain people got what was coming to them. Definitely enjoyed this and would recommend.

Unfortunately this one isn't for me - I enjoyed the other books in this series, and I would've liked Colton's story, but I can't get past Gretchen's attitude in this. Sorry, just not for me.

This was my first book by this author, and I was hooked. Both storylines really captured me, and I was very interested in seeing how things would play out for both cases. Kay is a strong character who was determined to find out what had happened to her friend, and then eventually to Holly. Elliott was a great character too and I loved the way he handled the case he was investigating.
I'd definitely read the books prior to this one as I've jumped into this series in the wrong spot, and I really hope to see more of this series in the future. Highly recommend.

Ok, I definitely have a new fave crime series with these Lexi Winter books! Love her character, and love Finn and Rachael as well. Some great team members she works with. I like how some things carry through from the previous book, but at the same time its a whole new different set of cases and circumstances. Lexi is like a dog with a bone, she won't let go, and she's determined to do things her way. She learns some things in this one - there's definitely some character growth. Also, that ending, the last couple of lines? Can't wait for the next one! Highly recommend.

*4 Stars - AUDIO REVIEW*
I finally finished this audio lol! I started it ages ago, but because I don't listen to much audio, and then I cancelled my membership for a while, I couldn't listen to this until I had an active audible account again because of the setup for this particular book (which was annoying, but that's a whole other side of things).
I liked the story of Trent and Edie - and while I had some idea how things would play out, because I've read the next gen books, it was great go back and read some more of the OG series. I liked Trent and Edie, even if things did start out really mean between them. Edie is such a strong person and I loved the way she was with Luna, and how she was always looking out for Theo and others.
The audio narration from both narrators was great in this, and it brought the characters to life nicely. I loved how things played out for dear old Jordan - go Trent! - and was definitely hooked on the rollercoaster that Trent and Edie went through.
Would recommend.

Wow! This book had me absolutely hooked right from the start! I really enjoyed learning Lexie's story, and the different POV's with her, Rachael and Finn. Normally multiple POV's like that annoy me, but this was done really well.
This case was very very intriguing and also disturbing. Lots of details woven in and out, past and present, and a bunch of turns I didn't see coming. There were secondary characters I truly loathed (oh hey Turner) and ones I truly loved (can we get a round of applause for Dawny? Oh and I hope to see her in future books please!).
Lexie is a really strong characters with some vulnerability underneath. She's been through a lot in her life and she's a very interesting person but with dogged determination. I love the way things played out for her in this book, and I'm already diving into the next.
New favourite series right here. Highly recommend.

This one is hard for me to review because I really love RVD books for the most part, but lately it's felt more and more like what I'm reading is just a ramble of words that's confusing and without proper editing. In saying that though, something about this still hooked me, and I was curious enough to push through and see where things went.
I liked Quinn and I liked Chloe (for the most part, she did some things I did not agree with). I enjoyed the cameo's from other RVD worlds and there were some really fun moments in this. I did not like Sophie at all, and in the end things felt unresolved with how they left in terms of her.
I read this book in only a day and I enjoyed it, but I miss the old RVD writing compared to this.
