When I started this book the writing style was a bit different and it struck me as a book you either would love or hate.
By the halfway point I was totally invested in it, I wasn't really even trying to predict the plot twist and turns, I was just enjoying the story.
I finished it in a matter of hours and I think it was quite brilliant, the writing style really suited Cadence's voice. It surprised me and it destroyed my emotions. There were a lot of tears.
I don't think this book will be everybody's cup of tea, but it was exactly what I was looking for in a book.

This is quite easily the best book I've read so far this year!

This is one of those books that make me feel like a total dumbass.

The writing was great, but i think i just missed what was so great about the story. I found it hard to follow and remember who everyone was. Also the links between the different characters where weird.

In all fairness i'm definitely in the minority.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

It was all very meh.
It just plodded along, there was no build up, there was no tension. There was just steady plodding through the pages until I finished. It was a chore. I definitely think that this is just a case of "this author just isn't my type". It's my second book of his, the first one I DNF'D with only 20 pages to go as I just didn't care. I need to be entertained and I just didn't feel it.
Maybe it needs to be 2 stars.

I can't fault it.
The author has done his research and wanted to take the book to somewhere he thinks the Robin Hood tales could of originated from. it's set in Wales, the characters are brilliant, there is plenty of action with some psychological warfare thrown in which is creepy and brilliant. I really liked it.

I really liked it. I liked the way it was written, it was engaging, I grew attached to the characters quickly, I rode an emotional roller coaster the entire time. I cried a lot.

A book like this is incredibly hard to rate.
It is definitely worth a read.

Short, sweet and very hot. I liked the take on on Wonderland. I enjoyed it, I'm going to jump straight into the next one.
There were a few misspelt words, but not enough to interrupt the flow of reading.

This is a high two. I just can't give it a 3. I liked it, it had its sexy moments, but it just lacked the oomph Her Mad Hatter had. I think it had a lot to do with fitting such a long time frame into 100 and something pages. It was all very superficial.
But once again an easy read. Onto the next one.
