I know I shouldn't go into a book with high expectations, but it happens. I think even if I didn't have high expectations I would have been a bit disappointed.
I'm just not sure what it was missing or what my issue with it was. I liked the idea but it seemed really really familiar. I know that a lot of books are similar but the first half of Six of Crows just screamed Mistborn. Seriously Kaz and Kelsier where way to similar!!! And now this reminds me of The Magicians Guild or Apprentice (I can't remember the title), that just doesn't sit so well with me.
It's a quick read and I'll see what happens in the next book, but if I didn't already own the trilogy, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to pick it up.

A good read. Definitely an improvement on the first. The new characters brought so much to the story. I liked it.
I finished this in about 4 hours. It wasn't bad, but I had issues with the sentence structure, it just didn't seem right. There were a few times I had to re read sections because it seemed like words were around the wrong way.
Besides that it was a very easy read.

So corny and I love it. These books are pure entertainment and require no thinking. Exactly what I was after!
This took me a long time to get through. I had a month and a half break in between, not because there was anything wrong with it, I just picked up a different book.
It's well written, interesting and while I spent most of the book thinking I knew what was going to happen next I was always wrong.

I have been putting off this book for so long, because its meant to be this amazing powerful book and i didn't want to be disappointed, I finally got to it and it was so much better than i expected. The writing was brilliant, the characters were great and the story was really moving. Also, i'm not the type of reader that often wants to mark passages or quotes because i thought they were outstanding, if i was, i would have highlighted over half the book, it was that good. I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie.
Man this dragged on. The never ending plots within plots, within plots, within plots got a bit old and relying on Kaz's brilliant mind to see everything became totally far fetched so by the end I was rolling my eyes a little... But in saying that, damn it was nice to be back with the crew. I really enjoyed them and I had to force myself to put it down so I didn't get to it to fast, I wanted to enjoy it and not rush it. The relationships were all so much fun to watch grow.
Also way to rip my heart out! I cried and it's 2am and I have to try and sleep with a snotty from crying nose.
