A fairytale but it's all true.

Nobody could have ran with this premise for a childhood prose poetry-esque memoir than the legend that is  Patti Smith. The writing is absolutely STUNNING. So dreamy and whimsical!

This was great. Like really really really great. I loved it! Getting all nostalgic and dreamy about the magic of black coffee, travel, books and crime dramas is every vibe ever. Period. There's also a lot of really nice stories and musings on memory in here that i thought were absolutely brilliant.

Patti Smith finds the ethereal in the most mundane of things and I truly appreciate her writing for that.

An utterly stunning edition of my favourite book! An absolute pleasure to reread :)

I really really liked it, although I love Jane Austen's later novels so much more. I just didn't connect with Eleanor and Marianne in the way I do  her other heroines. The story was really engaging but didn't feel as rich as her later novels.  The  Emma Thompson adaption with Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant is wonderful though, really enjoyed that :)

Pleasantly confusing. Totally bonkers. Juxtaposes mundanity with surrealism. Could I tell you what the f*ck this was about? No....but Murakami books are a feeling. Chase that f*cking sheep!!!!!

Really want to read Wind up Bird Chronicle after this :)
