It follows Lord William who needs to marry his bestfriend if he has to secure his fortune, and Viscount Warry who is desperate to save his sister's honor and would do anything to save her. It's a story about sibling love, doing whatever necessary to save them and sacrifice, love and everything nice.

First, William and Warry had such great banter and the whole 'I don't want to leave you, buy I should because it's the right thing to do'. I loved their chemistry and the way the author handled the ending. Becca was such a force and I loved her relationship with William. Second, can we appreciate the fact that Warry was a badass ? Even though his position was precarious, he was emotionally strong enough to put up with William's antics.

The overall pacing was quite slow and sometimes I didn't like how William treated Warry, but it still held my attention. Overall, I think it was an enjoyable read!

"It doesn't matter who you are, where you've come from, it's in our nature to fall in love with the shackle that binds us."

There's always one moment where, when you close a book you can't wrap your mind around the ending or the whole book for that matter. This book was one of them. It's a dark Rapunzel reimagining full of explosive secrets, breathtaking angst, immersive imagery, and heart wrenching emotions. The writing style and the characters were so dark, twisted with such power imbalance, that it created an intriguing atmosphere. Our main characters Rhordyn and Orlaith has some very interesting dynamics and it's definitely not for the faint hearted. I really liked how gritty it was, and the way Orlaith grew throughout the story. The obsession, selfishness, and the possessiveness was portrayed really well and I loved how the author wrote this story. The imagery was definitely something I appreciate! I am a huge fan of Dark Romances, and still that ending managed to surprise me ! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Sapphira races to learn all she can about her magic, and if she can’t control the darkness within, the mortal realm will fall, and everything she knows and loves will be nothing more than ashes and dust.

The writing style in this book is really good. The concept of Dhampires (If you like Vampire Academy, you'll love this) seers and all the dark goodness is very well written. I especially loved Sapphira's struggle with the dark. The character development was amazing and we get to glimpse the 'good girl turned bad' side of the character. I think the bracelet and what it means to her defines the progress of the book. The friendship/found family group this book had was *chef's kiss*. But Hunter was my favourite! But the ending was the cherry on top. What?? I have so many questions now

OMG WHAT THE HELL??? THIS BOOK WAS SO CUTE GAAWWDDDD...
