I mean, come on, there’s a cat!

I haven’t read any of the other books (because I didn’t know this was a novella in the middle of the series) but it was kinda meh.

I should start checking if the really short books I read are part of a series.

This is a book that proves that short books can have just as much depth as 300 page novels. The only thing I didn’t like was the relationship, I felt that it unnecessarily complicated the plot.

I really enjoyed this novella! It left just enough to be desired and I can’t wait to continue with the series.

Unfortunately this novella felt underdeveloped, I believe it would have functioned better as a full-length novel. The relationship just didn’t feel realistic in the short amount of time.

I definitely want to read some other stuff by this author but this book in particular lacked luster. A good portion was just excerpts from her other books which I felt the space would have been better used creating a little more build up to the ending.

For a novella it was nice but I got the ick when the dude started talking about how good the girl is with babies. It was said in a way that felt as if he liked the idea of a wife more than her specifically.

The plot line was absolutely enthralling. The only thing I didn’t like was how Violet and Xaden kept having the same argument over and over again.

No notes! This was a quite enjoyable dystopian.
