Pretty dull.
It was okay. I didn’t really like the way it was written but it is a children’s book so the juvenile style makes sense.
How on earth is the average rating for this book so low?? At first I didn’t like the mc, she was a bit annoying, but as the story progressed I liked her so much more. And don’t get me started on how dreamy Alex is. He’s giving Steve Harrington. Ahhhhh this book is my new obsession.
The cover was pretty. In all seriousness, I enjoyed a few parts of the story but it mostly wasn’t my thing. I didn’t like the love interest and the plot didn’t capture my attention as I had hoped.
I didn’t really enjoy the 2019 timeline but the 1992 timeline was incredibly captivating.
I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did! It was a fascinating and compelling exploration of the difference between faith and institutions.
I wish I could have paid more attention to the story but the way it was written took all the fun out of reading it. I felt my eyes skip paragraphs as I just wanted the dullness to end.
