Frankenstein: 3/5
Hello Dollies: 5/5
A Shit to Remember: 2/5

Frankenstein does a great job of capturing the aesthetic and ambiance of Shelly's original work, but I feel like there wasn't a lot of tension in Ito's rendition. I did like his portrayal of The Creature though. I've read Hello Dollies before and while it's a very short one shot I remember the imagery from it very well, and think it's just a creepy one. A Shit to Remember is not all together memorable, but I suppose a funny inclusion. I could have down without it.

A nice look into Ito's background and inspiration, and charming in the same way as his cat stories are. But I feel like it had less of a purpose in the volume it was included in, so it didn't strike me the same way.

I read this again to see if the terror I remember as a child still lingered. It did not. Probably still a fun book for younger audiences, and still gets my three stars for the art work, which is still eerie.

The Long Dream: 1/5, This is probably one of my least favorite Ito stories. I think it's boring, not scary, and doesn't have any of the really wild body horror Ito can give us. This one is just really a dud for me and I get irrationally angry whenever anyone tries to tell me it's good or scary.
The Story of the Mysterious Tunnel: 5/5, on the opposite side of the spectrum, I'm obsessed with this story and the last one of this issue. I think that the tension was wonderful, it was mysterious and spooky in just the right amounts. Also the visual of the ghosts zooming through the tunnel is something I won't easily forget.
Bronze Statue: 4/5, I thought this story was slightly predictable, but also really funny. It was slightly gruesome, but mostly a good haha you got what you deserved story.
Drifting Spores: 4/5, I really liked this concept and thought it was unique. I like how things spiraled pretty quickly but in a believable way.
Blood Sickness of the White Sands Village: 5/5, I really liked this story. I thought it had great tension, was unique, and had really great visuals. These are probably some of my favorite Ito visuals ever.

The creepiest part of this story is how the boyfriend and his family act after the girlfriend sees what happens to the members of their family for the second time apparently. Altogether not my favorite story but still creepy.

Altogether a heartwarming story. It was mostly cute and slightly mysterious. I think it's a good read to see opposite views of America's war crimes during WWII, so I appreciated being to see another viewpoint of the tragedy. The art was also very pretty.

Super cute! I watched a reading of this, and really loved the art and the storyline. Pokko telling a Wolf, don't eat people or you're out of the band is the energy I aspire to.

Dissolving Classroom: 4/5, a good opening story! I think it set up the dynamic of the siblings well, and was able to lead into the rest of the story with us wanting more.
Meet Again: 5/5, I'm not sure why but I really liked this one. I think because it was so mysterious and weirdly romantic I guess. It may have fit better with Hellstar Reminia.
Children of the Earth: 2/5, this one didn't do much for me. I feel like there wasn't enough tension, but still an interesting concept.
Worshipping Beauty (Dissolving Beauty): 5/5, this is my favorite story with Azeri and Chizumi. I just think it was a cool idea, and the visuals/consequences of Azeri's actions. There's probably some social commentary that could be made, but eh.
Dissolving Apartment: 4/5, loved the visuals for this! Really just goopy, zombie stuff. I think it's a good continuation of the story as well.
Chizumi's Dissolving Love: 4/5, I liked being able to see more of Chizumi and get more for her character. Also I felt like the plot got a lot more interesting in this one.
The Demon's Conference: 4/5, good conclusion! I liked how it was open ended without being too nebulous.
