This book was not as graphic and wild as I thought it would be, but was still gripping and kept me involved in the story until the end.
Graphic: Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Violence, Blood, Murder
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Alcoholism, Gore, Stalking
This was reviewed as being a funny book, and maybe to some people it is. But it’s funny in that crude way people try to pass off as subversive, but honestly I will always think this is in bad taste. It’s fast paced but still boring to me because I really don’t give a shit.

This book was lyrical and wonderful. It was so human and also magical. I think this is one of the first trans-femme centric books that I've read and it feels so special and powerful. The characters are so lovable and seeing the narrator come so far was so rewarding.
Graphic: Death, Transphobia, Blood
A fascinating idea poorly put together. I wanted to see more development from Helen because I find it hard to believe that she would wake up with powers and just accept them.
A decent look into the dynamic feelings of teenagers on the cusp of beginning their adult lives. While the book provides a great look into the emotion of specific characters I was left wanting. I would have liked to have seen more character development, particularly from the supporting cast. The story itself was the most lackluster part, as it went fast and made me as a reader feel like not a lot has happened over the course of 308 pages even though a lot was implied. The majority of action isn't physical in this book, which can leave a reader a bit confused as to what is happening around the characters.
