I enjoyed this one a lot. I think the way the characters are developing is very interesting.

A wild ride. I enjoyed seeing this battle and I'm interested to see what comes next.

This was so funny actually? I really loved it and laughed the whole way through. I still think about it sometimes and chuckle again.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started this book, but I think it both met my expectations and took a sharp U-Turn away from them. I felt that the first two parts of the book went a little slow for me. I would have liked there to be more mystery about the characters and their motivations, and I thought that the multiple flashbacks really slowed down the narrative for me. I wanted to be more engaged with what was happening with Jasmine in that moment and discover things later in the book

I probably enjoyed part three the best, especially when
SpoilerJasmine knifed that guy with a broken bottle. As a truly violent woman myself, it was therapeutic.
I think that the action and unveiling of things in that part stood the strongest out of everything. I wish that the book had been more paced like that section.

All in all I found myself rooting for Jasmine a lot more than I thought I would. I find it very ironic that she and I are close to the same weight, and think that the book goes to show that society really does not understand weight and women's bodies. I wish that there had been more space given to Jasmine's feelings of body dysmorphia regarding how her body changed after loosing the weight. I think it would have been very interesting to see her thoughts at that point. At the end of it, I would classify this book as being firmly in the genre of "Good for her!" because good for Jasmine. I will happily eat my sausage biscuit in the car to honor her.

I thought the descriptions were good and it was interesting enough to keep reading. But I didn’t really care about the main character which was kind of annoying considering we were stuck in his head the whole time.

The Wandering Earth 5/5, I was obsessed and now I get it. I get why people like to read Liu’s work.

Mountain 5/5, I like how morally grey the protagonist is.

Of Ants and Dinosaurs 5/5, this one made me laugh several times. Very interesting.

Sun of China, 5/5 I think this was my favorite. It left me feeling very hopeful.

The Wages of Humanity, 3/5 I was a bit bored by this one.

Curse 5.0, 5/5 love that for her.

The Micro-Age 5/5, I thought this one was so interesting and also took a suddenly dark turn.

Devourer 5/5, Ultron could never.

Taking Care of Gods 5/5, I really liked this concept even if it did feel a bit long winded by the end but that kind of fit the God’s character.

With Her Eyes 5/5, I think the twist with this one made it more heartfelt. I think the idea of terranauts is so cool.

The Longest Fall 4/5, I like how this one looped back to the story before, but it also got to be a little long winded in the end.
