I really loved this novel. The art was so pretty and the characters really capture your heart right from the beginning. A bit slow paced, but very lovely.
It was awkward in the way that most books with female protagonists written by men are. Decently interesting, but generally not good in the way of horror.
I thought this was fairly boring and not altogether coherent. Not my favorite Ito work by any means, and I felt a bit disappointed honestly.
At first I didn't really like this book. But it kept sticking in my brain and I read it again, and honestly it's one of my favorites from the series. I love the concept and keep thinking about it. Fantastic work!
I think this concept was so cool. It was a very enjoyable story and one of my favorites from this series. I would highly recommend it.
A bit slower paced than I thought it would be, and it took me a little while to like the protagonist. My favorite part was the brother/sister dynamic. I liked seeing them work together and have such a nice relationship. Overall not bad, just not the worst.
This plot line is a bit annoying honestly and I'm ready to move on.
Maybe I'm being petty but I really don't like that the tree is personified as a woman and she is the one who gives everything up only to not be appreciated until she's dead and can't give anything else. I get the point but I feel like it doesn't come across well to me.
This plot line is a bit annoying honestly and I'm ready to move on.
This is one of those stories I read in high school than reread. I still have my original opinion, which is that I think this story is a bit overrated compared to some of the other American short stories I've read. I think it's fairly predictable and not really heart wrenching for me.
