I believe him! Lots of interesting thoughts on the phenomenon.
However, about half of the book was a real drag to get through. Lots of stuff being rehashed over and over, a lot of rambling thoughts and theories that looped again and again. Incredibly fascinating story, just not the most pleasant read.

Annihilation meets 1984. It was okay, I found Kiln very interesting and I love me some leftist ideology, but I felt like most of the story was told to me as opposed to experiencing it. I didn't like the narrator really. It could have been better, was such a slog to get through some of it. Not exactly my cup of tea, I guess.

Absolutely horrifying. I really enjoyed the writing style, as well. But.... yeah. Absolutely horrifying.
It was okay up until the end. There was some i liked, the creepy grinning man, the voices on the radio & the truck scene... and a lot I didn't. Addy really was unlikeable, annoying and frustrating. I didn't like her inner monologue at all.
The Moth man monster was cool but didn't really have enough focus. Should have been more about them.
The ending was pretty disappointing, honestly. I didn't feel satisfied at all.

Lovely little fairy tale. Very cozy. Only thing is her challenges with the fae are very easily overcome, which is pretty typical with cozy books. I enjoyed these!
Very short story. The writing was flowery, maybe a bit over the top for such a short story. I wish there was a clearer ending!

Super scary! I think this book legit gave me a nightmare. Some of the conclusion i didn't like, just because I felt like it was written like they just wanted to wrap it up, lol. But! The journey was very scary and it was a great horror novel.
A good horror novella. I was sufficiently creeped out by the clown cutouts and the clown car scenes. Fun, fast read!
It was okay! An interesting mystery. I felt like it was very complicated though, not the mystery but the story in general. There's leviathans, magical? ... augments?.. and so many politics that I definitely got lost a few times. I feel like this would have been better as a second book, and the first book should have been following Din through his exams, and building the world there before doing a very big, twisty mystery. I was overwhelmed trying to take in all the world building while also trying to keep everyone straight in this high fantasy environment.
Maybe it just needed to be explained better? It was a pretty good story, I enjoyed Ana but found Din pretty boring until the very end. Pretty middle of the road for me, personally!
