Virginia, Lady Burke, is independent, and is her fathers daughter. For years she has wanted to make a difference just as her father did and the members of the Inferno Club have done. She is a widow, and a mother to a fifteen year old boy, but thrives on her own independence. She has a business of being a private investigator, and when she learns that there are missing girls, she knows just the man to help her, Lord Forester. Even though Nick has a great love for his brethren in the Order, he is tired of the life, of killing and losing a part of himself each and every time he goes on a mission. So when he tries to defect and leave to live a life of his own, he is thrown into prison. When a beautiful woman comes to him with a proposition in return for his freedom, he is more than willing, especially with Virginia as his partner. As they get closer to the truth of the location of the missing girls, the danger surrounds them, and only when Virginia embraces who she is and trusts in Nick will they be able to survive the coming tide of danger that may destroy them and everything they hold dear.

The Secrets of A Scoundrel is the seventh and final installment in the Inferno Club series. Gaelen Foley has been a favorite author of mine for quite some time, and you never know what to expect when you pick up one of her books. They always surprise me, but the lovely delightful kind that sends shivers down the spine. It starts out with a delightful scene of Nick exercising with his shirt off, and sparks pass between these two instantly. Then it picks up pretty quickly, and you find yourself totally immersed in the story. The plot was very exciting, and some intense spots that had me at the edge especially the later half. I had no problem getting into this story, and stayed up half the night reading it, because I could barely put it down for very long. The chemistry between Nick and Virginia is instantaneous, and they surely don't need help with the fireworks, they are explosive enough on their own. Virginia's son, is charming and endearing, and I was totally on his side, especially when Virginia went in overprotective mama bear mode, she does overkill it just a bit, but I loved seeing flaws in the characters, it adds a touch of realism to the story that sometimes ends up missing out of regency romances. The characters are full of surprise and the interaction between Virginia and Nick is packed with witty humor and lovable characters to win your heart.

A delightful romp of a romance to captivate hearts, and endear you to this charming couple who are the perfect example of finding that happy ever after amidst danger and intrigue. A Ending to the series that sets the final stage for this set of heroes who have enthralled its readers since the first book. A lovely story that is priceless!! ENGROSSING ON EACH PAGE!

Campbell Sinclair is a highland laird, and protector and defender of innocents, even a lad fighting off some bandits. So Campbell fights them off, only to end up injured himself, and the boy then nurses him back to health. Campbell learns of the lad's destination and offers his aid in thanks to bringing him back to health. On the journey up, he unintentionally sees the boy bathing in the river, only to discover the boy is a beautiful lass. Joan made a vow to her mother on her death bed, to deliver a missive up to the Clan MacKay, and is more determined than ever to make it up there safely. When a gorgeous Scottish warrior lends his aid, she takes it, knowing that there is many dangers on the road, especially for a woman, even though she is dressed as a lad. But when Cam and Joan find a lingering desire to each other, and before either of them realizes it, they will both be put on a road of passion and desire, and a future that could destroy or bring them together forever...

To Marry A Scottish Laird is the second book in the series. Now I just love a stimulating highlander romance, and oh boy does Lynsay Sands satisfy my romantic needs in this one. It definitely packs one hell of a punch, enough to throw you clear out into the sky. This wonderful romantic tale begins with a woman dressed as a boy, and a highlander in need of saving. Campbell is a favorite hero, strong, a fighter and protector, and has some intense sensual abilities to curl your whole body. He is a highland laird, and when his wife died from childbirth, he has no want of another wife. But when his mother tries to drown him with women after women, he is desperate for freedom. So he leaves for the summer, and on his way back up home, he discovers a woman that stirs his blood, and opens up his heart once more. Joan knows that she is beneath Campbell, and could never be worthy to be his wife, so she wants to enjoy their precious time together. But when a secret is revealed, Joan learns of her true identity, and before she knows it her life is thrown into chaos, but always back into Campbell's arms who is more than determined to win her heart. A beautiful love story that I found captivating. The more you read this story, the more you get fully involved into it, and it starts to tie you up in knots, trying to discover the truth, and let me say you are in for some wild rides, crazy surprises, and delicious sensuality. There were many delights in this story, that make you fall in love each and every time. The plot is packed with some danger, a mystery ( I dare you to solve before its revealed and get it right!), characters that come to life, and a love story to cherish.

Overall I found To Marry A Scottish Laird a personal favorite, and by far at the top of my list for historical's from this author. I have always been impressed with her paranormals, however this historical romance has won my heart. A piercing and stunning love story that carries you through a plot full of danger, strife, dangers, and above all a fierce passion to rival any that turns into a tender and sweet masterpiece of a romance!! BREATHTAKING!!!

While in Canada, he takes in a ward, a young girl who recently just lost her parents, and having a fondness for her, decides to take her under his wing and treat her as one of his own. So he goes in search of a governess for her, and finds a Sarah Cooper, who has secrets of her own. Sarah is on the run, hides a painful secret, and all she desires is to make a new life for herself. But while in close proximity to Christian on their way to England, she finds herself giving into the desire she feels for him, for he is the first man to show her the true pleasure of passion, but their future is not guaranteed and she knows that they are in for a battle to a future, because both of their pasts are about to threaten to destroy them both.

A Kiss Of Lies is the first book in this series, and thus begins the never ending adventure of the disgraced lords. This is the first time I have read from this author, and after hearing so many high ratings and reviews, and I knew I had to read this one. So once I picked it up, I was completely immersed in the story line. It sets off at a quick pace though, with very obvious chemistry between Christian and Sarah. Christian is a tortured hero, and has many scars that keeps him from forming any real bond with any woman until he meets Sarah. Sarah doesn't see the scars, she sees the man she once knew, but hurt and damaged from the war, she senses he is the same man, honorable and loyal. We see how Christian and Sarah are completely lost in one another, even in the beginning when Sarah tends to fight him at every corner, even though she wants him more than anything. Sarah has a past herself, and she has both scars on the outside and inside. Your heart goes out to her, and we see how much inner strength she has, and she is a fighter, wanting a life of freedom and love. Christian and Sarah are wonderful together, and what a match. Not only are they emotionally fit for one another, the physical side of their relationship could light one hell of a fire. There is definitely quite a couple of conflicts involved in the story. You see how at the beginning it starts out as a calm connection to a relationship that makes you wonder if and how will they ever get their happily ever after. I really found that the story seemed to ever engaging, and never one dull moment, GUARANTEED. I felt through the whole story that I was constantly at the edge, and I couldn't keep reading fast enough. One of my favorite aspects of the story was how deep and intense the story tended to carry me into. Both of the characters have both been damaged in more ways than one, however you see throughout the whole story they help each other heal and believe in love again.

Overall a winner of romance! A story to take you from the land of Canada, across the ocean to London, with danger mixed with passion, zeal and tantalizing sensuality to capture you from the first page. Come prepared for a adventure of a lifetime, with deep entrenching emotion, enthralling characters, and a plot that never ends~~ I promise that you won't regret this ride that will stun you with its romantic tale to warm your heart.

Then they part, and she knows she likely will never see him again. She finds a new apartment with a sweet roommate, and as she starts to settle in, she bumps into her mysterious man again, only to learn that he is her roommates brother. Which means Jocelyn is in big trouble, because deep down she knows she is not ready for what he wants. At first attraction is fierce and hot, and they can barely keep hands off each other, and eventually Jocelyn gives in to Braden, and agrees to a temporary sexual relationship, but then Braden worms his way slowly into her heart, and despite her fears and her struggles with her past, Braden could be the one man who could make her dreams come true.

I have to say I had my doubts about this book, and for quite some time I have debated whether or not to read this, so after reading a friend blogger's review of this story, I knew I had to take a chance on this one, and WHEW I can hardly believe I waited so long to read this story!!! SENSATIONAL!!! I loved every moment, and I could barely contain my excitement as I started to fall in love with Jocelyn and Braden with each page. I wanted to yell to the whole world how great this book is!! This isn't any normal contemporary, it has so many qualities to the story that will make you get up and cheer for this couple and each road block that stands in their way.

On Dublin Street is the first book in the series, and it takes place in one of the most romantic places in the world...Edinburgh, Scotland. I have been to this city, and its beautiful and majestic and the people are way too friendly to be real. As we begin we get a small insight into Jocelyn. Oh lovely Jocelyn, she needs love more than most heroines you read about. Jocelyn lost her family in a accident, and for years has separated herself from forming any bonds. Even her best friend, doesn't know certain things about her. Braden is one of those heroes guaranteed to make you swoon!! I know I Know that is so a understatement, he is a super ALPHA male and I adored him from the first chapter. Braden has his own scars, and he is used to being in control until Jocelyn. From their first cab together we see fireworks and they haven't even kissed yet. Both of these characters have plenty to work out, and their relationship has plenty of hills and mountains and it gets pretty rocky at times, but by the time I reached the ending, I had a feeling of WOW, and how that was one of the most satisfying reads I have ever had the opportunity to read. Normally I rarely get that from contemporary romance....but this book changed my whole view on contemporaries.

Guaranteed to keep you captivated all the way through. A story of tears and laughs, of fierce passion, enduring characters, and such emotional connections that it will pierce you from the intensity of it. A TRUE GEM!!

Lady Windermere's Lover is the third book in the wild quartet series and in the past I have learned to really enjoy this author. I found this book to be very enjoyable and fun and easy to love. There wasn't any big issues that I had with this story, I did feel like it wasn't the type of story I could fully get into though. I did have a fun time with it, and it was one of those stories you can relax into but not get fully immersed in the story. It had the feel of a good cup of tea on a quiet evening. Lately I have been reading very gripping stories, so it was nice to relax into a book and not be at the edge of my seat the whole time. (Not saying I don't like books like that, but it is nice at times to take a breather and read a story a bit more softer). Although I will say I wish there was more romance in the story. I felt like this couple were more friends than married turning into lovers. I didn't feel much sensuality in the story or much of a romantic theme. There were moments of course, but I didn't get the feeling that I usually do with this author. So I was slightly disappointed, but it was a comfortable and easy read, so I had no trouble reading it. I just had higher hopes for it. However having said that, I do want to touch base on a few things I really did enjoy.

I really love the characters involved in the story both main and side characters. Damian and Cynthia are a solid match. Damian is a mix of beta and alpha personality. Damian is willing to admit when he is wrong, willing to fight for what is his, and is a protector. He has a admirable sense of loyalty and I really liked him. Cynthia is your average heroine, but has some qualities that makes her above average. As you read further in the story you start to see more into Cynthia and I really loved her personality and she has that endearing quality to her. Some of my favorite characters were the side characters, and this neighbor rake trying to seduce Cynthia...well I liked his bad boy personality. He was just too likable not to love.

Overall a enjoyable story with witty humor, unique characters, and full of scenes to make you have that "feel good" feel. A PLEASURE TO READ!

Simon, is fascinated with Leonie, and from the moment she bumps into him, he is intrigued by this beautiful dressmaker that has a elegance and grace. Amidst their interaction, Leonie and Simon make a bet about Leonie's current project, making a Lady Gladys (Simon's cousin) into a beauty of the Ton. A passion erupts between Simon and Leonie, and soon Leonie might have to make a difficult choice: the man she loves or the shop she has devoted everything she is to. Will Leonie be able to find her happy ending as her sisters have?

Vixen in Velvet is the third book in the Dressmakers series, and I have been looking to read this book for quite some time. Before reading this, I was really excited to try it out, since I have really enjoyed the previous books by this author. However I felt myself a little disappointed with this one. The beginning of the story was engaging and flirty and fun, and then about halfway I started to lose interest in the story. I don't know if it was the book itself or me, but I had a little hardship sticking with the story. I felt like the story just deflated a bit and it took me longer to read this than it normally would.

There were some things that I did enjoy about the story. I really like the instant spark between Leonie and Simon. It really moved the story along in the beginning, and engages the reader and pulls you in. Leonie and Simon are a solid match for each other. Simon isn't your average Marquess. From the start we see his genuine affection for Leonie, and he isn't your run of a mill rake. From the start, we see how even though he would love to have Leonie in his bed, that he has honor. I loved how he is with Leonie and her work. We see some small involvement from the two sisters, but not very much since both of them are settled and married now. This story is a bit sad at times, we see how much Leonie is putting in to the store, and the only sister running it. I loved Leonie, her strength and stubbornness and tenacity to get work done. She was very easy to relate with. The plot was solid and steady but I felt like the emotional connection was a bit off in the later half. I think if it had been the same level as the beginning of the story, it would have been more fun. It does have its moment, and there are quite a few scenes full of wit and playfulness.

Overall a enjoyable regency romance, with scenes to make you laugh, and a slow and steady romance that is guaranteed to give you that lighthearted feeling. Entertaining and delightful!!!

On her journey across the ocean to the island where they are housed, she shares a boat with one of those headed to Purgatory. A vampire who takes her breath away and she instantly feels a connection to him, despite the fact that he could kill her at a instant. Shane, is undercover, trying to figure out what is going on at Purgatory, but never expected to meet Olivia or have to protect her when circumstances turn upside down, and Shane will have to use everything he has learned over the centuries to protect Olivia...his woman...his mate, who holds the key to saving the world or destroying it.

This is the first time I have had a chance to read from Cynthia Eden. So when I was offered a chance to read this book in exchange for a honest review...I just had to leap at this chance. Now I was expecting a story that I would probably like.....but I can say I am so IMPRESSED right now!!! I read this in a couple of hours, and the time just flew by. I just couldn't get enough of this story. It was everything I needed. The past couple books I have read didn't meet up to my expectations...so after reading this, I knew that this story was just perfect for me. Marked By The Vampire is the second book in the Purgatory series, and I will say that even though I would have liked to read the first book, I was fine without reading it when I was reading this installment. It can easily be read as a stand a lone if needed.

The story begins with Olivia meeting Shane for the first time. And oh boy I felt like my apartment could be lit up just by the chemistry they made by their eye contact. Their connection is instantaneous, sexy and hot!! You just might want to be prepared and bring a fire extinguisher for this one. There is so much passion, action and enough conflict, it might just stop your heart; and I LOVED every moment. Shane is that Alpha male you just want for yourself. Predatory, powerful, cunning and possessive as hell. Shane was such a compelling hero, and I loved the hero complex he tends to have...especially when it comes to Olivia. Olivia is feisty, sensual, smart, and isn't afraid to defend herself. I grew to really like her, and even though she could be a bit annoying at the end of the story, you don't mind too much, when she really handles what is thrown at her. I enjoyed the layout of the story, and the suspense and action never seemed to stop. Just when I thought Shane and Olivia get a break, something else gets thrown at them, and they seem to handle it just fine.

Overall a exciting and thrilling romantic tale with plenty of paranormal drama, emotional intensity and a love connection to make you want to immerse yourself in this story forever!! A author that I will definitely be reading more of. MAGNIFICENT!

While at a friend's barbecue, she comes face to face with Javier Corbray, a man she once shared a passionate night with, a man she fell in love with but she knows her life is different, and she isn't the same woman now. Javier was the leader of the team that rescued Laura, and when he sees her again, he knows he can't let her get away from him. When Laura becomes targeted and her life in danger, Javier will do everything in his power to protect her at all costs.

Striking Distance is the sixth and the most latest installment of the I Team series by Pamela Clare. I fell in love with Pamela Clare with some of her historical romances. Her style of writing is just as compelling and intense as when I first read her. In Striking Distance, is a action packed romance, with plenty of tension to keep you on the edge from beginning to end. From the first few pages I was hooked and I just couldn't put it down!! There is quite a high level of intensity, and we see quite a bit of action and some steamy scenes between Laura and Javier, and what a awesome team they were together. One of my favorite couple to read from.

Javier, is military man, a navy SEAL, and loves his work. There is one moment he is most proud of, the moment when he was able to save the woman he though was dead. The story begins with seeing Laura being held in captivity, then being rescued, and it skips ahead a year, to where Laura meets Javier again, and wow what a connection they have, even after so much time has passed. Javier, is such a delicious hero. I love the way he is with Laura, so patient and protective, and sexy as sin!! I wouldn't mind have Javier at my back any day of the week. Laura is a fighter. I was instantly endeared to her. You see how much she has been badly treated from her time in captivity, and then we see how hard she has worked to have a normal life again. She isn't one to back down from danger, and has such inner courage that you can't help but admire. Javier and Laura are absolutely perfect for each other, and what a story Striking Distance is!!

Overall I would highly highly recommend Striking Distance to anyone that loves a riveting romance that is a never ending page turner, a story you won't be able to put down until the very end. One of the best romantic suspense books I have ever read!! Be ready for a wild ride of a adventure. Suspenseful plot, engaging characters, highly sensuality, and compelling on each page!! A FABULOUS READ!!
