Adam Rast is a detective and is very passionate about his career. When he first meets Nadiah he doesn't believe her unique gifts, even though he has some of her own. Nadiah is insistent on helping him finding the missing women, but when she has one of her visions she collapses in his arms, and before he realizes it he is caught up in something he can't let go of. Nadiah is Kindred, and even though she is blood bonded to a vicious and evil man since she was child, she is desperate to hold on to her precious freedom. But when he ends up shooting her with pain straight to her chest, that she can barely function, she knows her time is running out. She has dreamed of a man rescuing her, because only a strong enough Kindred male can save her from a lifetime of rape and abuse. But the only man she has dreamed of is Adam Rast, which is strange because he isn't kindred right? When Adam finds out the truth of Nadiah's situation a deep part of him can't resist claiming her for his own, and fighting for her in a challenge against her blood bond that she was forced into. But as he helps Nadiah there is a secret of his past, a secret that could either save them or destroy them both?
Revealed is the fifth installment in the Brides of the Kindred series. I recently discovered this series just a couple months ago, and oh boy do I love it. This series is a science fiction based erotica. Although it is under the "Erotica" category, it is so much more than that. As many of you know, I am super picky about Erotica's. I just love a solid romance, so Erotica has to be well done in order for me to enjoy it. This series is by far one of my all time favorite erotica series. It is a science fiction based theme, where we have humans dealing with aliens called the Kindred. These Kindred are fierce warriors and protectors. They have a strict society with many rules, and a strong belief system. I would highly recommend you read this series in order since the books are interconnected and you may get a little lost if you try reading in the middle of the series. From the first book I was very intrigued by the set up of the series and the unique way this author tells a romance. And yes they are romance based and in fact I think they are more romance than erotica in many ways. There are a couple books that have a few bdsm related scenes, but nothing too dramatic or over the top.
In Revealed we have Nadiah and Rast, who we have seen bicker and fight for a couple books now, so I have been looking forward to their story, because even from the second book when we are first introduced to them, we see sparks fly like wildfire. There is a wonderful tension between them, and once this story begins, you see a deeper connection form between them once Nadiah is put in danger. I loved how even though Rast is supposedly human, he looks and acts like a kindred male. Alpha and possessive and so protective of Nadiah, it makes you want to cry. I love how he sweeps in to save the day knowing he may die. The plot is never ending with intrigue and mystery and such a sweet love story mixed in. It does have some sensuality into it, but I felt like it was balanced with everything else going on in the story. I love the focus of their relationship that was ever present all the way through. And oh boy was there some sweet and tender moments, that I couldn't get enough of this story. A impossible to put down read that I soaked up like a sponge.
Overall a telling story of sacrifice, love and devotion. A passionate tale of two people that are destined for each other, with riveting scenes, engaging characters and a plot to sweep you away! BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND LEAVES ONE BREATHLESS!

Secrets of Seduction was a phenomenal story, that had me tingling all the way through. There was so much that I enjoyed from this story. I doubt I will be able to express everything I felt about it. Ever since I first started reading this series, I have found it fun and engaging and sweet. Secrets of Seduction is as heartwarming as the previous two books in the series. I think from the first page I liked this heroine. Sometimes I have a difficult time getting into their character, but Skye was practically addicting and I almost wished I could be just like her. She is stubborn and tenacious with a bit of playfulness and boy does she know how to go about a seduction despite the fact that she is a virgin. We see the multiple tricks up her sleeve to get Hawk to step out of his shell and take a chance on the love she offers. Hawk is the perfect "Beast" character, he is scarred inside and out, has a temper and growls (but boy was that sexy). I did enjoy the theme of this book, and I also loved the little sub plot we have going on with Skye's uncle and his long lost love.
The characters in this story were engaging and fun loving and I felt my heartstrings being constantly pulled with variety of emotions. Nicole Jordan knows how to weave a beautiful romance that gets the reader fully involved in the story. There was quite a bit happening in the plot, not too much, but enough to keep your mind thinking and imaging. From beginning to end you are captivated by this tender relationship that forms between Hawk and Skye. Overall a stunning romance that shot a arrow straight to the core of my romantic heart. I couldn't help but fall in love with this story and these charming characters that pulled me in from the start. A TREASURE OF A FAIRY TALE ROMANCE!!

The Importance of Being Wicked is the second book in the Millworth Manor series. Victoria Alexander has been one of my favorite author for years, and I have really enjoyed the theme of this latest series of hers. Not my favorite stories from this author, but very enjoyable. The series is based on this family that reside at Millworth Manor. This installment is about Winfield Elliot, the Viscount of Stillwell. The format of this book was in audio form, and I thought since lately I haven't listened to many historical romances, I thought that this one would be a good one to do. I have been meaning to continue with this series, and so I do love audio books. I did have a hard time sticking to this audio book though, I am not sure if it was the narrator or the way the book was written, but I have a feeling I would have enjoyed it a bit more in paperback. Despite that fact, I really enjoyed the style of this story and it had many qualities to this story that pulled me in and left me fascinated.
The Importance Of Being Wicked begins with Millworth Manor, being caught in a fire, and the main living areas being burned although the outer edges remained untouched. So they are in desperate need of a architect hoping to have the work finished before their yearly ball that is a well known event among society. Win has been searching for a good architect to do the work, and seeks the help of Miranda Garrett who has been running the business since her late husband passed away. But what is not known is that she is the main architect and has been since the company first began. But because she is a woman, that fact can't be made known to the public or the very attractive Winfield. As Win and Miranda are thrown together in trying to complete the manor before the ball, and attraction forms between the two, sparks fly, and desire flames hotter than any house fire. I really loved the idea of the heroine being a talented architect, and how she somehow keeps it a secret, while keeping a priority on those that work for her. Not even her own family knows, and I enjoyed seeing the secret slowly come out, and I enjoyed the reactions of the fellow characters involved in the story.
This story was a sensational read, and I loved the romance that develops between Win and Miranda. It was a bit different, since they couldn't stop arguing or doubting the others intentions, but eventually they started to really come together, and I enjoyed the bickering banter between them. Very amusing to the reader, and keeps you interested in the story. There isn't a huge major conflict other than both keeping a few secrets, but other than that, its a fun and simple love story you can relax into. There isn't much suspense or intensity, but a calming effect of a beautifully written romance that leaves a feeling of contentment once you reach the ending. A STUNNING TALE!!

Stuart made a arrangement with Edie, to leave England once they married and her fortune paid his family's debts and that he would never return. So its been five years, and Stuart has been in Africa, but when a lioness attacks him and he almost dies, there is one face that kept him alive, his wife Edie. So he has a new purpose in life, to return to England and win her heart. Edie left America to escape a scandal that was forced on her, and when she first saw Stuart she knew he was the way to get her independence, but knew she could never be intimate with him. Its been five years, and she has managed all of his estates, and dealt with his distant relatives, and trying to send her younger sister to school. Then he shows up right in front of her, and she can't believe that her husband is in England, when she didn't expect to ever see him again. Stuart knows he has a battle to win with Edie, and he forms a agreement with her, if he can get her to kiss him in ten days then she will stay in England and be his wife, but if he can't get her to kiss him then he will sign separation forms. So Stuart begins a slow seduction of his wife, wanting to coax her into opening to him, to trust him with a secret that he knows she is hiding, and make her believe that he loves her and will anything to keep her in his life, the battle is on!!
How To Lose A Duke In Ten Days is the second book in the latest series by Laura Lee Gurhke. For some reason I don't think I have read the first book, which is strange considering how much I adore this author, I will read anything she writes. Ever since I read "Marriage Bed" I was fascinated with this author, and I have enjoyed every book she has written, so its not surprise I fell in love with Stuart and Edie. Before I had a chance to read this, I read some fantastic reviews on this story, and I was very excited to start it. This is a story that is one of my favorite set ups in regency romance. A injured hero, needing reconciliation with his wife, and a slow seduction--oh boy, did I love these two. Edie is stubborn and almost leaves England before really talking with Stuart, she is a fighter, and wants her independence and freedom, and at first you think she seems a bit high handed and eccentric. Who runs from a handsome scoundrel of a husband that wants her body and soul right? When you realize the secret that Edie has kept secret, and to herself, you start to understand her in a different light. Stuart is a delectable hero of this story. I just loved him from the beginning, you see how much he is willing to do to gain Edie's trust. He is a bit injured, and I loved how he handles his injury, and the way he forms a bond with Edie, and their chemistry is slow but strong and it was a very stimulating experience seeing these two come together.
There was so many beautiful and tender scenes that wrung my emotions, and I did need a tissue or two. The steam level in this book is under "warm", passionate but not over kill and I felt like it the whipping cream on the most tasty treat. What really got to me was the growth of their relationship emotionally. Especially the later half of the story, I could barely keep a grip on my emotions, I was all over the place. When these two start to develop a trusting relationship, and desire flares, that is when things get heated and highly involved and what a variety of spices and flavors of passion and love. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a tender love story, endearing characters, and rich in emotion and drama...A DELIGHTFUL TREAT TO WARM YOU ALL OVER!!!

Zoltan is on the search for his father's killer, and when a clue lands in his lap, a arrow head that matches the one that killed his father in the 1200's. So he leaves his duties, and goes in search of the one who murdered his father. What he finds alters his life and his heart. Neona is a warrior princess, living in solitude with her other sisters and their queen, her mother. No men are allowed in their valley, or they are killed. Neona and her sisters are hiding a secret, and protecting it. Some of their women have died, and after losing her twin sister, she aches for something to love, a child, a daughter. When they hear of a strange man entering their property, they go in search of him. Neona, plans on seducing him, and taking his 'seed', then will have to kill him. When she meets Zoltan, she sees a man she could eventually love, but that is forbidden, and she will have to settle with having his child, hoping for a daughter. However Zoltan is stubborn in his courtship of her, and before she knows it, she is breaking all the rules, just to have a few moments with the one man that makes her heart sing. But will Neona and Zoltan find their happily ever after?
How To Seduce A Vampire (Without Really Trying) is a fun and exciting story, and one of my favorites, read in only a couple of hours and I was tumbling over it with balls of laughs and a few tears. I have loved this series, and Kerrelyn Sparks is one of my favorite paranormal authors, and I have loved the way she has created this world of Vampires, shifters, demons and angels. I don't know what I was really expecting with this installment, but WOWZERS!! I am impressed. You never know with how many books are in this series, if the next book will be a great addition or a disapppointment, and I am happy to say it wasn't the later. I loved everything about this story.
First off, the heroine, she was impressive, I loved everything about her character. She is a warrior, and a fighter, and goes after what she wants, but we see that she has a vulnerability, and Sparks really balanced out her character well. I definitely was amused in the beginning when Zoltan and Neona meet, and she just wants his "seed" in like five minutes, definitely had me laughing from the moment these two meet. Zoltan, whew, I think I could build a forest fire with the heat he was giving off. Zoltan is passionate, and loves women, but I love the slow seduction of Neona. From the beginning, Zoltan is mesmerized by Neona, and doesn't only want to bed her, but love her and show her the meaning of true love. He begins a courtship that is so sweet at times, and he is so stubborn about it, that Neona can't help but say "yes". I love seeing Neona turn ito a woman obeying orders from her queen, to standing up for herself and for what is right. She won my heart over and over.
There is quite a bit of conflict, that never seems to end, and I don't want to spoil too much, so I wont reveal the secret that they are hiding, I will say that you are guaranteed to fall in love and not just with the main characters of the story, and it does leave with a bit of a cliffhanger, which I am hoping gets resolved in the next book. (Crossing my fingers here, and hope it comes out sooner rather than later). And there are quite a few suprises in here, especially toward the end, that totally shocked me, but in a very positive way. We do see some past characters involved in this one, and a few that are my favorites, and a beginning romance with a sub character, that I am guessing will be the next book. SO EXCITED!!
Overall I was blown away with this book. The characters, the plot, the story line, and the unique setting, it all combined into a blend of tender romance, sizzling desire, and never ending adventure!! MESMERIZING!!!

Adam Chamberlin, The Duke of Rothford, has returned from serving in the army, after his two older brothers are killed by a fever, and now he is the new Duke of Rothford. Now he has changed, and not just because of his new status. Over the years he has changed from a young man with no care, to a man tormented with his own demons wanting redemption and forgiveness. When he and three of his friends make a pact, to seek redemption for a decision that changed their lives....the one woman that give him full redemption is Faith Cooper. Faith, even though raised differently, has no choice to seek a position as a servant, when her brother is killed, and she and her mother must fend for themselves. She knows that she will probably live a life as a spinster, even though she craves a man to love. She is shocked with a Duke comes to her, offering her a place of refuge and a position that would alter her life. Faith is independent, and doesn't want to lose what she has worked hard for. But there is a attraction between Faith and Adam, one that neither can deny...a attraction that could heal both of them and have them believing in happy ever after and a future if they will trust in the love they hold for one another...
Redemption of The Duke is the third installment in this latest series by Gayle Callen. Over the years I have come to appreciate Callen's writing and the beautiful way she weaves a romance, and so I had high hopes for this one. Especially after reading the blurb and boy this cover...is just sexy right? Well this book is full of intense characters, sensual scenes, and a wonderful love story that makes your heart skip a beat. The only big issue I had with this book was how long it took me to get into it. It did take a while, I was finding it very enjoyable but wasn't fully into the story until about 1/3 of the way through, and then I felt like the pace picked up and then that is when the story really got interesting. the later half of the story I was having a hard time putting down, and I really enjoyed seeing Adam and Faith come together. There is quite a bit of tension and conflict between the two, especially in the beginning. But we see that after they overcome some issues, their romance blossoms, and things between them start to come together. Of course then we see a bit of a mysterious element inserted into the story. and then the plot really thickens, and there was definitely enough material in this story to give it that romantic flair that tug at those heartstrings.
Overall a stunning romantic tale of two people that need each other more than they realize. Two people that both need redemption and will only find it in each other. With a light sensual twist, characters to make your day brighten, and a plot that will keep you guessing until the end. QUITE REMARKABLE!!!

It Takes A Scandal is the second book in the Scandals Series. and the most recent book from Caroline Linden. I have always enjoyed this author quite a bit, but I was really excited to read this one. I did enjoy the first book, so I was wondering how this book would compare, and it passed all my expectations for it. When I first read the synopsis, I was thinking, that it would probably be a enjoyable read, but wasn't sure if it would be memorable, and after reading it, I am impressed with the way Linden wove this story. It begins with seeing Sebastian Vane, in search of his missing father, who has recently come back from the war, and is trying to live on meager funds where he barely makes it by. Then he rescues Abigail mothers puppy, and it seems like romance blossoms between them. The first half of the story seems to be a slow and steady love story, where Sebastian and Abigail start to slowly fall in love, and then everything goes crazy when a newcomer comes courting Abigail. This is when things start to really heat up, because this newcomer used to be Sebastian's childhood friend. So tensions are high, and you start to see how strong their connection is, and I loved how Sebastian fought for Abigail, even knowing that he has little to give her but himself.
Sebastian and Abigail were so beautiful together, and I loved them as a couple. At first it seems like Abigail is a normal England miss, however as you go chugging along in the story, you develop a appreciation for her character, and she develops a backbone, she is feisty and a fighter and I totally cheered her on especially toward the end. Sebastian is the tortured hero, despite his bad fortune, he still has dignity and pride, and feels somewhat worthy of Abigail's affections. At first he didn't seem too willing to really fight for her, but he proved me wrong, and what a great way he does it too. There is a slight mystery element packed into the plot, but it doesn't overshadow the romance, and I felt like the love story between Sebastian and Abigail is the center focus of the story, and all the other elements are just icing on the cake. The side characters, especially Abigail's family were witty and fun and engaging. Easy to relate with my own family, and I loved seeing the affection and silly bantering between them.
Overall a mesmerizing romance that is steady paced, sensuality extreme, with a wonderful love story to weaken the knees and have you cheering for this couple!! Guaranteed to overwhelm the senses. OUTSTANDING AND WELL DONE!!
