Kathryn Hunter, is a FBI agent, and with her the recent disappearance of her brother, she is at a loss in finding him, but there is one man that may be able to help her locate him, Lucas Donlan a Vampire Lord. Lucas, is a vampire Lord, and a very jovial one at that. But he has his own problems to deal with. Lucas is getting ready to take down the vampire Lord, whose territory is right next to his. Especially after he tries to kill his closest friend, Raphael. Now there is a FBI Agent, asking questions, but a searing heat explodes between them. At first Lucas doesn't want to accept what is happening between himself and Kathryn. However with the danger rising rapidly, Kathryn is determined to keep herself in the midst of danger, and it will be up to Lucas to save her life, and to show her the true power of the vampire world, and even though she keeps resisting her feelings for him, that no vampire lets his mate go without a fight.
Lucas is the sixth book in the Vampires of America series, and I am almost done with reading the whole series, except for one novella. It makes me sad in a way, reading this series so far has been such a blast of whirlwind fun, danger and desire, and I have loved every single moment. This is definitely a favorite author of mine. I read a novella Betrayed, where we first see Lucas and I liked from the start. He is energetic, a ladies man, and has a more relaxed and humorous personality than the other vampire lords that we have met so far. Although in this story we see a whole lot more to him and he definitely is powerful and lets no one stand in his way. Kathryn was a solid character and I did enjoy quite a bit, although she was always never giving into emotion, and it got quite frustrating many a times. I understand that with being a FBI agent, she has to have a tough exterior, but she was constantly refusing to give in even in private, and there was something about her that rankled against me. However I did like her toughness, and ingenuity and her determination to not let Lucas stand in her way of finding her brother.
I felt like the story was very exciting and thrilling, and was packed full with plenty of drama and action to keep your mind occupied all the way through. There was a balanced consistency that I have enjoyed from this author. There is quite a bit of tension between Lucas and Kathryn that was quite a show to see, and boy did they give a entertaining show!! I enjoyed seeing these two together, and I loved how they are both fighters and doesn't give in easily. You see how their relationship deepens as the story goes along, and you can't help but admire these two.
A riveting romance to set you on edge and fill you with excitement, thrills and passion!! A REWARDING STORY TO CHARM YOU!!

Quickie Book Review:
Tempted is the third installment of the Eternal Guardians. In the past couple of books, Demetrius has practically scared me more than any other guardian. He is icy and cold and very rough around the edges, but in this book, you see the true center of Demetrius and I was completely head over heels for Demetrius. There is a lot more to him than meets the eye. When Isadora gets kidnapped and she and Demetrius are thrown together in a place where they will have to rely on each other to survive, a desire flames between them. Demetrius has known for years that Isadora is his mate, but he doesn't feel worthy of her, so he shuts her out and tries to force her to hate him. But when her life is in danger, everything changes, and Isadora starts to see a man that cares but refuses to show it. Isadora shows her true colors and you see a inner strength that grows with each day, and I love her fighting spirit. There was so much more in this story than I expected, and it keeps your mind constantly overwhelmed and engaged till the very end. The suspense and thrills seem to never end and the ending was purely satisfying and you are left with the happy bliss feeling that you crave every time you read a good romance. And oh boy was this well done!! A intense, passionate, and exciting adventure packed with dangerous creatures, plot full of intrigue, a mystery to unlock and enough romance to send tingles all over!! CAPTIVATING!!

Received a copy of ARC in return of a honest review.
Monica Shaw runs a flower shop, and unlike her twin sister, doesn't need the glamour of the city lights to satisfy her, all she needs is her small town home and the charming people that live within its boundaries. A stranger comes into town, acting strange but she feels a attraction to him that she doesn't fully understand. Travis Beaumont is a secret service agent, and with the President's son having his wedding in Valentine, its his job to prepare for her arrival, even with the beautiful distraction of Monica Shaw. Travis has his own past and has served in the military for years, and has always wanted a command. But when he meets Monica his perspective on his life changes. He starts to see that the little things in life matter just as much as the big ones. When a tender love starts to blossom between these two Travis will have to make a choice his job and career as a secret service agent, one he has dedicated his whole life to or choosing the love he has for Monica and sharing his life with her....
A Promise At Bluebell Hill is the most recent addiction to the Valentine Valley series. This latest installment just might be my favorite one so far. Its a charming and emotional driven romance that completely won me over from the first chapter. In the beginning you start to see how sparks fly between these two even though both of them don't see a future together. As the time of the wedding day draws closer though, Monica and Travis's bond to each other only becomes that much stronger, and its almost heartbreaking watching them struggle with finding their HEA. Of course I knew it had to happen, but you wonder how it does and it does happen in such a delightful way. One of my favorite aspects of this story was trying to find out the way they make a future together. I could barely put this one down, I was so intrigued by their dilemma and wondering how these two would make it work.
From beginning to end this author totally enthralls the reader with a beautiful love story that will win your heart! SENSATIONAL!!

Olivia is known as "London's Least Likley" and is known for her poise and following the rules and never stepping out of line, and what has it gotten her, unwed after four season. One evening she meets a man who sizzles her senses just from one look across the ballroom, and she almost kisses him in public. Afterward, she learns her parents have betrothed her to the "Mad Baron", Phineas Cole. She has heard many rumors about this Mad Baron, about how he murdered his wife. Phinn has admired Olivia from afar and knows that her genteel manner is just what he is looking for in a wife. What he doesn't plan on is for scandal after scandal to occur after he decides to marry her. Phinn has no idea what he did to her, but then he learns that she believes the rumors about his late wife, which he didn't ever think it had been gone around as much as it apparently had. Phinn is out to seduce his future bride and show her he isn't the monster she thinks he is, that he can love just as passionately as she dreams of.
Wallflower Gone Wild is the second installment in the Bad Boys and Wallflower series that is the most recent series done by Maya Rodale. I have enjoyed reading her others series and this is the first book I have been able to read from this series. I am a bit disappointed that I have yet to read the first book, especially after loving this title so much. There was so much emotion and drama played out in this story. I couldn't help but fall for this story. From the beginning I was fully engrossed in the story, the longest it took was just a couple of pages and I was hooked completely. Maya Rodale definitely knows how to deliver a charming love story and Wallflower Gone Wild is definitely a new favorite.
In this story we see two people that need each other and are each taught a humbling lesson about Trust. Olivia I liked from the beginning, and I loved how she schemed to make Phinn want to leave her, but all of her work and trying to create one scandal after another only tends to do the opposite reaction, Phinn starts to become more intrigued with Olivia. Olivia fears for her future with Phinn, but there is something so gentle about the way Phinn treats her and the way he is so patient, Olivia starts to slowly change her opinion of him. Despite the dastardly rumors that are flying around, she starts to realize she will have to trust in her true feelings about him, and not what other gossips say about him. Phinn is a scientist and could care less about public opinion, until he meets Olivia. Now he must prove to her that he isn't dangerous or a killer. I also loved seeing the close bond that Olivia has with her fellow friends, and it only made me more intrigued with reading the first book, after seeing her friend and her husband together.
Overall a charming romance that tied me up in knots (but in a very delightful way). Wallflower Gone Wild is packed with romance, desire, engaging plot and characters to worm their way into your heart. A HEARTWARMING TALE!!

Almost a year previous, Julianne spoke a true statement from what she knew, and it resulted in Patrick fleeing to Scotland, an innocent man who didn't do anything wrong but see his brother be killed. Julianne has gone up to see Patrick, to make amends and bring him back to his family, and to make sure he is exonerated. But they are found alone at his residence, with the local Pastor witnessing. So Patrick convinces Julianne to marry him to save her reputation, but he is marrying her for more reasons that she realizes. Patrick at first is outraged to see the one woman who ruined him. But he starts to soften toward her, when he sees the woman that is beneath the outer layer, a woman of passion and warmth. As Patrick and Julianne journey together to see that Patrick is proven innocent, intrigue and turmoil surround them, but then a deep desire only binds them stronger. And only when they learn to trust in that bond, will they be able to find a future...together.
Moonlight On My Mind is the most recent addition byJennifer McQuiston. The more I get a chance to read this author, the more I am impressed. Each new book is just better than the last one, and Moonlight On My Mind was brilliant! When I read the synopsis, I didn't know if I would like it or not. But after reading the first chapter or two I was totally into the story and I had no problem reading it. Even though officially these three books aren't part of a series, they are connected to each other. Each of the heroes are close friends, and I enjoyed seeing a bit of the past two heroes a bit involved in this one.
The story sets off drawing the reader with Julianne and Patrick being forced to help each other, and we see a flicker of sparks between them. The plot thickens even more when they end up getting married, and go back down to his family's home. We see their relationship deepened further when the conflicts surrounding them rises. Patrick is determined to find who murdered his brother, before the law comes after him. There was plenty of shocks and surprises and the ending really blew me away, I definitely never expected that little surprise, but I do love it when a story turns out in a way you least expect it. Adds a certain thrill to the enjoyment of the story.
Overall I found Moonlight On My Mind a enticing and sensual romance that is packed with intrigue, danger, and plenty of romance for any reader!! STIMULATING TO THE END!!

What A Reckless Rogue Needs is the second installment. After reading the first book in the series I was very excited to read Colin and Angeline's story. I recently discovered this author, and it was her covers of these two books that drew me to her. I was so excited that I was able to receive a ARC of this title. In fact I came close to jumping up and down....and who wouldn't be especially after discovering the joy of these charming storyteller that pulls you in magically into her love stories. And What A Reckless Rogue Needs is no different.
The story begins with Colin rushing home trying to convince his father to not sell the property that belongs to him. I instantly became charmed with Colin, very tenacious and a fighter. I loved seeing his vulnerability of his deceased mother, it was quite sweet at times. I really enjoyed how he would do anything to have a reminder of her. Now comes Angeline, where my heart just went out to her. We see a sweet woman who only wants what her parents have and what Colin's parents have. We see how she starts to fall for Colin, But from her past experience, she wonders if her love alone will be enough for the both of them. Colin and Angeline's story is all about trust and the true power of love, and it is worth the fight.
A Beautifully written romance with endearing elements, an engaging plot, characters to melt your heart, and a love story to bring a tear to your eye while bringing a smile to your face. PURE SENSUALITY!!

Rule Breaker is one of the most trusted commanders under Jonas. Rule has been more insistent on the others against a mate. That is the last thing he needs or wants. Even though the breed side of himself desires a mate, the human part is so insistent on a mate that Rule is determined to never let Jonas manipulate him as he has done with many other. But he may not have much of a choice against this certain woman that calls out to him body and soul. Gypsy McQuade never felt love or acceptance from her parents. Her brother was her best friend and parental figure. At fifteen some rogues go after her brother for helping the breeds secretly, she is caught up in it, and ends up raped before they murder her beloved brother right in front of her. Then she is rescued just not in time to save the only person who has ever cared about her. It has taken nine years, but Gypsy has a decent life of sorts. The loss of her brother still cuts deeply, and even though on the outside she appears to be a "party girl" on the inside she is on a mission, to help where she can just as her brother did. Jonas suspects that she is a double agent, even knowing that she is Rule's mate. So he sends Rule in to discover her true purpose. Rule is starting to have some fierce feelings for Gypsy, but he isn't feeling the normal symptoms of a breed in close proximity to its mate, so he doesn't believe they have a future. But soon Gypsy and Rule will have to work together, because there is a traitor, one they least expect for betrayal and the one that has all the answers for Gypsy to come to terms with her brothers death and have a future with Rule.
Rule Breaker is the 29th installment of this breeds series, and I have been following the series since Coyote Mate, which was the first book to draw me into this intense world of passion and suspense. Rule we have seen for quite some time, and I have loved him. He is so alpha at times, stubborn and out to have his own way no matter what. In this story we see a deeper side to Rule, and even from the beginning we see how a part of him has always sheltered Gypsy since she was attacked. It was very interesting seeing how he interacted with Gypsy. This book definitely felt a bit different from the others, it definitely has quite a bit of a mystery story mixed in with the sensual plot we have going here. For the first half of the story Rule and Gypsy flirt quite a bit, and we see a almost superficial beginning to their courtship. It isn't until about halfway that I felt their relationship started to feel more real to me. There is quite a bit of emotional drama in this story, and the aftereffects will shock the reader. I was stunned how many emotional reaction I got from this story which isn't normal for this author. But it was basically driven by emotion, and I felt like it had more depth than some of the other books in the series.
There is quite a bit going on with Gypsy, and more than you realize when you start. At first we don't know what Gypsy's intentions are, but as you progress further into the story, we see how the plot plummets from superficial parties and flirtation, to a more riveting tale that will blow you away. An invigorating tale of deep emotion, strong characters, steady plot, and a story to sweep you away into a world of adventure and sensuality!! UNFORGETTABLE!!
