Rhiannon Sinclair has come from Scotland to see her sister in London. Her aunt stole her away and dragged her to London for a season, and so Rhi wanting to make sure her sister is alright, follows. When she comes to her aunt's home, her aunt practically kicks her out, claiming that because of her abilities, it makes her less worthy. Furious Rhiannon goes out to the park in London, and releases her anger and builds a rainstorm and meets Matthew, the Earl of Blodswell, but more than that he is a 600 year old vampire. Matthew, was once a Knight of the realm, but was turned into a vampire, and has lived that way ever since. When he sees a damsel in distress, he goes in to save her, but discovers she doesn't need much saving, which only leaves him even more spellbound. Rhiannon, is part of a five sister coven, and her powers involve controlling the weather. but when Matthew comes strolling into her life, her powers go haywire. Even though Matthew is a vampire, Rhi finds herself yearning for his touch and kiss. But soon a scandal will put Matthew and Rhiannon in a tempest of a storm.
In The Heat of the Bite is the second in the Vampire Trilogy which is connected slightly to the Westfield Wolves series. This series is about three vampire gentleman, who are good and kind and only want to love. In The Heat Of The Bite is the second in the trilogy, and it is Matthew and Rhiannon's story. This couple was so much fun to read. The story was refreshing and there was quite a bit I enjoyed about it. I didn't have a hard time getting into the story, from the start your heart goes out to Rhiannon. Because of her gifts, her family treats her less important, believing she will never get a good catch, or have a family. Being Scottish, the last thing she wants to do is come to London, and deal with Sassenach's. However she doesn't have a choice, because her sister is more important. When she arrives to London, her aunt is cruel to Rhi, and pushes her out the door without letting her see her sister. But Rhiannon is a guest and staying with her fellow coven sister Caitlin and her husband Dash (whose story I had yet to read, and really anxious to now after seeing their involvement with Matt and Rhi). In the next scene we see Rhi meet Matthew, and sparks fly, and of course Rhi doesn't think she will see him again, but with Cait being the matchmaker, she won't get away so easy.
The characters in this story were lively and fun. There was quite a bit of the Westfield family involved, and boy I wouldn't mind trading some heated kisses with any of those brothers, sexy and hot. That is for sure. Lets get back to the sensual vampire though. Matthew, even though he is a vampire, is such a sweetie. He is gentle and kind, but when you need his alpha protective instincts, he is stellar. I love how patient he was with Rhiannon, and seemed amused by her abilities more than anything else. Rhiannon, is independing and fiery, and protective of her younger sister, but she seemed to be a bit vulnerable at times. She has some weaknesses and isn't so perfect, and it felt easy to relate with her as a character. The side characters were fun, and made me excited to read Dash's story. The more I read these books, the more I fall in love with this family and the setting. Having a paranormal theme in a historical setting, totally is my favorite set ups to read, and Dare does it with such a classic touch, you can't help but be captivated.
Overall a fun and steamy romance, with a regency setting, suspense and intrigue added to the plot, and a compelling tale of love and creatures that go bump in the night!!! TOTALLY SATISFIED!!!

I was able to get a copy of Snow White and the Vampire through Netgalley, and since I really enjoyed the first one Beauty and the Wolf, I was hoping I would get the same fun out of this upcoming release. Snow White and the Vampire is the second in the series, and is to be released mid December. Snow White and the Vampire, is a different setting than the first book. This story is about a young woman, who has come a long way from when she first fell in love in Romania. She is in London now, away from her step mother that desires her end, and she is the first female barrister, which is a huge accomplishment, and she is very good at her job and loves it. Then a man she once knew, a man she gave everything to, arrives at a birthday party, when she is about to be engaged to a sweet young man, who has no idea of her past. Dimitri, has also come along way, although in a different way than his secret love. Dimitri is a vampire, and a doctor after years of training. Dimitri was once a lowly boy, with no chance of winning Alba's heart due to his station. Now he is a gentleman, a surgeon, and devoted to Alba and has been searching for her for years. Now that he has found her he refuses to let go, despite the fact that he is a vampire, but Alba's stepmother is trying to kill her, and he must protect her, at all costs.
This story was intense, and breathless, and full of suspense and passion. Snow White and the Vampire puts together two people that are so right for each other. They have a past, and even though some dark and dangerous events occurred, their love for each other is stronger than ever, despite the years they have been separated. In this story we see a involvement of a curse, a plot full of intrigue and danger, and a passionate love. The characters were delicious and captivates the reader. I couldn't help but fall in love with these two characters. Even though the story took a bit longer to get into, once I was fully immersed into the plot, I was succumbed to the magic of this authors storytelling. This story is a retelling of the Snow White fairy tale, with a few twists to the story that turns it into a sensual and potent read!! I recommend Snow White and the Vampire to anyone that loves a roller coaster of a ride packed full with adventure, magic, passion, and intensity. A story to remember!! LOVED EVERY THRILLING MOMENT!!

Maximmilian Burke has always known who and what he was, and for years he was in love with a woman, who abandoned him at the altar to marry his brother. Ever since the relationship between himself and his brother has been strained to say the least. London has become tedious and needing a change in his life, he decides to head out the the countryside to Cadgewyck Manor, and when he first sees the manor, he think he may be going crazy, but he feels a kinship to the crumbling building. When he arrives, he doesn't get the welcome he expects or has become used to over the years due to his position. With rumors of ghosts and mystery and death, the estate appeals to him, but more than that, the stubborn and prideful housekeeper who has him on his wits end, amuses him and he finds himself attracted to a woman he normally wouldn't be attracted to. Max hasn't dallied with a servant for many years, but temptation is in every surrounding, and he can't help but wonder what passion he could find in her arms, despite the schemes she and the other servants are playing on him, Max is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery and gain every secret the manor and this tempting housekeeper has....no matter what.
The Temptation Of Your Touch is the second in the series, and having loved every book this author has written, I had to wait quite a while for this book to become available at my local library, but once it did, I could hardly wait to pick it up. Even though the reviews and ratings for this story has been a bit lower than I expected, I wanted to try it out for myself, and even though the beginning of the story I had a hard time fully getting into, I was able to eventually get into it, and I found myself captivated by this author's amazing ability with her storytelling. After loving the first one, and seeing quite a bit of Max, I was very anxious to read his story. This book is quite different from the first one in the series. The story starts with Max hearing rumors of ghosts and mystery and intrigue surrounding the manor, and I for one am a fan of mysteries, so from the get go I was intrigued by the beginning of the plot. The chemistry between Max and Ann isn't all at once in the beginning, its more of a gradual build up. You see how much they are attracted to each other, but with Anne trying to drive off another "ruler of the manor" she is a bit preoccupied, but Anne is startled that none of their trickery is working, its only making Max's stubbornness become more entrenched than she imagined. I enjoyed seeing the creativity of Anne and the fellow servants, it was quite entertaining at times, and honestly Max is a saint for dealing with it all in stride. The plot thickens even more gradually with more evidences coming to light pertaining to the mystery that is in play throughout the whole story.
The characters in this story were very lively and easily like able. I couldn't help but loving the main and the side characters. Max has a strength of characters that is admirable, and his tenacity is to be commended. He doesn't let anyone bully him, even if that someone is a beautiful woman that captures his attention everywhere he goes. I enjoyed having him play the part of the Hero, he definitely deserved the part. Anne definitely surprised me by how much I grew to like her. At first she was a average like of a heroine character, the more I delved deeper into the story, I grew to find her a endearing characters, with a nature that was intoxicating. Seeing Max and Anne together was very satisfying especially toward the end. I loved how self aware the heroine is, and fights for what she wants, but Max is definitely her equal match, and its quite evident as you read the story. I couldn't help but find the deeply enriched emotion filling the pages enthralling, and the delightful mixture of mystery, drama, and passion. This author is stellar and I found her storytelling has still remained superb. BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN TALE THAT CAPTIVATES THE READ FROM THE FIRST PAGE!!

Prisca Hawthorne has loved Lord William for years, but when he broke her heart years ago, she hasn't ever forgotten. She knows that she needs to put him behind her, and move on with her life. Prisca is tired of living in a "limbo" stage. So when a new charming stranger starts to court her, she wonders if this is her time to start a new chapter in her life, until Lord William strides back into her life and makes it much more complicated. William has wanted Prisca for years, and he made a mistake years ago, and he still desires her for his mate; even though she frustrates him to no end. But when he hears of a new man trying to seduce her, he is outraged of another male pouncing on his territory. Soon Prisca has two men trying to court her, and even though William makes her blood heat, she knows she could never trust him again. But will her strength of will be enough to resist him once again?
The Wolf Next Door is the third in the series, and I just have loved the books that I have read so far. In the previous books I have seen William and Prisca battle it out with each other and I have been looking forward to reading their story. The Wolf Next Door is a story set in the regency era, and it also involves Lycans and witches. I have enjoyed Lydia Dare's take on the series, and the unique setting she has placed this series in. Even though Prisca has known William and his family for many years, she has no idea of his family secret. William is back home, and is determined to win Prisca back. He has always loved Prisca, but when a misunderstanding broke her trust in him, he left to try to forget her. But he has realized that he can't live without her, so even though he has some mean competition he will take any action to keep her, and make her fall in love with him again.
The really enjoyed the characters involved in the story. We see the instant passion that William and Prisca have for each other, despite the bickering and fighting they tend to do on a regular basis. William is the hero of the story, and as the reader you can't help but fall in love with him. From the first two books, I have always found Will intriguing, and the way he deals with Prisca is priceless. He definitely has many alpha traits, and beyond sexy. Prisca is very strong willed and feisty, and I enjoyed her bickering with Will. Even though she isn't my favorite heroine, I did enjoy the characteristics of this heroine, and she doesn't let William's nature overcome her feelings to make her own decisions. I enjoyed how this story plays out, and the relationship between William and Prisca could be tense at times, yet sexy and fun at other times. Overall I couldn't help but enjoy this delightful story of sensual tension and intriguing characters and a lively story line that will curl your toes. Not my favorite of the series, but a enjoyable and exciting story. A JEWEL OF A ROMANCE!!

She was everything he had known she would be and much much more: Headstrong, sweet, fiery-tempered, impertinent, witty...a treasure of exciting contrasts. His treasure!
I had read many recommendations for Whitney My Love for quite some time. Judith McNaught is a author I have yet to read until now, and I am so glad that I decided to take that leap and read this one. I don't know why it took me so long to get to this book, but I picked it up and I wanted it to be one of the first books that I would read this week. Whitney My Love is a powerful and a classic romance that every romance lover needs to read. Whitney My Love is quite a adventure of passion and romance. Even though it is over 700 pages long, it didn't feel like it. It took me longer than I thought it would to read it, but since I read it over a holiday, I definitely think I made good time with it, and there were many times that I was tempted to not put this down when I also wanted to spend quality time with my family. Family won of course, but just barely LOL (just kidding). But seriously, the plot was full of twists and turns, you almost feel like you are on a roller coaster.
It begins with seeing Whitney as a teenager, and being her hellion of herself, is wild and charming. I loved her character especially at the beginning. She doesn't hide who she is, and she isn't ashamed of who she is even though her father and many others are. I found it almost heartbreaking how her father treats her, I wanted to wallop him over the head for treating his daughter the way he does. After she pulls a stunt that is so in tune with her nature, he sends her off with her aunt and uncle to Paris. Whitney is in love with a man, Paul, who she has been trying for years to charm and make him fall in love with her. So when she is sent to Paris, she realizes that this is her chance to prove to him what she can accomplish. She spends about four years in Paris, learning how to be lady, to flirt and to charm. You see how she slowly changes into a delightful young woman, who still has a wild personality but she is much more polished. Then we meet the hero of the story, who has been keeping a watchful eye on her, for four years in Paris, a Clayton Westmoreland, who desires her as his wife. He knows that she is destined to be his, so he bribes her father a fortune to secure their future marriage. He then returns to England to court and woo her, but she has no interest in him--at least in the beginning. A drama filled romance starts to develop between the two, even though her eye is on another man. But somehow Clayton gets under her skin, and before long she starts to develop tender feelings for Clayton, against her better judgement. But then she learns that there is no future with Pail, when she learns of what Clayton has done and she feels like she has been bought like a horse. But a flaring desire builds between them, and soon Whitney will have to trust in her heart and the man she truly loves.
Such a amazing story!!! I couldn't help but fall madly in love with this story, the characters, the surroundings and the masterful storytelling of Judith McNaught that ties your heartstrings. From beginning to end, I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation, tears, laughter, and a emotionally moving story that is bound to keep you enthralled until the very end. There is plenty of drama and misunderstandings (which is a understatement, and it is on both sides) however the way this author works the story together is magical and dazzles the reader with a a love story that makes your believe in happily ever after!! A MUST HAVE FOR ANY ROMANCE LOVER!!

The Taming Of The Wolf is the fourth in the Westfield Wolves series, and would probably be ranked as one of my favorites so far of this author. Dashiel Thorpe, is a sexy hero, who has you wrapped around his finger from the first chapter. Dash is definitely everything you love about a hero, and I loved the conflict this couple is faced with. I found this story to be endearing and full of charm and sensual tension. Dashiel Thorpe, when he first meets Cait, bites her and without fully realizing it he claims her as his mate. When she flees, he follows her up to Scotland, and a dance of seduction begins. I loved Cait, she has spunk and is very creative in her ways of dealing with Dash, and it was such fun reading their story. It was fun, adventurous, witty and riveting. The story completely draws you in, the powerful connection that is evident between this couple is intoxicating. The characters are endearing. This story is packed with pure sexy fun with a hint of sensuality, and a perfect blend of historical setting and paranormal romance that will capture your heart!!! A GEM OF A READ!!

So despite her misgivings, she knows that she can't leave him to die. So she helps him, and realizes that he is a werewolf, when his injuries heal way faster than any injury should ever heal. Anna once works in a clinic among a werewolf pack, so she can see the signs, but keeps the knowledge to herself. In return for aiding him, Caleb offers her a ride in his truck for a while. Anna reluctantly accepts, and despite wanting to protect her heart, she finds herself melting under his gaze. Caleb is sexy and charming and despite his gruff manner, she is drawn to him in a way she doesn't really understand. Caleb is on a current job when he runs into Anna, and he can tell that she is on the run from something, but there is something inherently special about Anna and there is a bond forming between each other, a bond that is more powerful than either of them have ever known.
How To Run With A Naked Werewolf is the third in the Naked Werewolf series by Molly Harper. This is the first time I have been able to read this author. I was given a copy of a ARC in return of a honest review through Edelweiss and Pocket Books. I have to say that after reading this, I am very impressed with this authors style of writing. It had such a flirtatious and light manner to it. Even though there is some big conflicts involved in the story, there was still a sense of playfulness and lightheartedness to the story that made it very entertaining from the beginning to the last pages. Most paranormals I have read usually have a more serious tone to the story, but in this one, I didn't really get that vibe at all. It did have a sense of danger at times, and there is a secret that Anna is hiding. Despite that however, my impression of the story overall was pure enjoyment and fun.
The characters in this story were so endearing and addicting. I just wanted more and more of them. Caleb is a sexy werewolf, fun and playful and very touchy feely (who does like a wolf that loves to cuddle and touch more than anything else). I like how even though he has those dominant tendencies, it isn't overkill. Its more of a gradual process as the relationship between Caleb and Anna develops more. Anna doesn't keep her past a secret because she likes it, she doesn't have a choice. She has suffered in the past, and has some underlying fears from her abusive husband that she is on the run from. I really liked Anna for the most part. It was quite comical seeing Anna interact with Caleb however. Anna's first instinct is to run and flee and be solitary, but you see as the story progresses how her objectives start to slowly shift. Despite her fears, you see how Caleb makes Anna feel safe and slowly starts to trust again.
I just loved the chemistry between Caleb and Anna. It was more of a gradual sexual tension between them, but I loved the way these two are with each other. For the most part of the books it was a fun and flirting game with Caleb and Anna, and the trust is slow and the love story was sweet. This authors writing is addictive and full of life. I definitely will need to watch out for this author more. A sweet love story that is addicting and amusing, characters to endear you, and a plot to thrill you!!! FANTASTICALLY WELL DONE!!

Alys, has for the past four years worked as a Estate Manager for Strickland. Very few know that the estate manager is a woman. Alys has had to do everything to make a life for herself; and its been far from easy. Now she has made a success at being a manger, and has improved Strickland more than any other manager has ever done. She has three wards, that are like her own children, knowing that she may never have any of her own, now that she has recently turned 30. Then she learns that she has a new boss, Reginald Davenport. When his cousin, the Earl, gives him no choice but to take responsibility over Strickland, which is his families ancestral estate that was lost to him. With no allowance now from his cousin, he decides to go to the country, and settle in his new estate, where he meets his estate manager and much to his surprise is a woman. At first he is skeptical keeping a woman on for a man's job, but when he starts to see how much she has done for the estate, he keeps her on. A battle of wills forms between two people, where a explosion of passion erupts, a passion that could either save or destroy them.
The Rake is the second installment in the Davenport family. As far as I can tell there are only two connecting books in the series. For a while I have heard so many good things about this book and this author. This is my first time reading her, and after reading The Rake, I have no idea I waited so long to try this author out. The Rake was a stirring and emotionally driven story that was very intense at times. The story starts out slowly but definitely speeds up once Alys and Reggie begin to have a sizzling chemistry. The plot is full of a few twists and turns but nothing that totally shocks the reader. The theme of this story was unique and I enjoyed the way this author played out the story. The hero is a bit darker than I expected. Reggie is a alcoholic and you see how for some people alcohol makes people do things they would never do otherwise. I loved how Alys realizes Reggie's problem and doesn't just abandon him, but fights for him every step of the way. The story between them is tender and enduring.
Overall I would say this was one of my top favorite historical romances I have read in a while. Even though it took a while for me to get fully into the story, by the time I was about halfway through it, I was enthralled. This story is poignant and powerful, full of heart wrenching emotion that you will need quite a few tissues. A memorable love story that will steal your heart!!

Johnanna Lindsey is one of my top favorite authors, now the last few books that I have read from her have been a bit floozy, however One Heart To Win made me feel like Lindsey is back, a little away. This story wasn't as intense as some of her other earlier books, however I really enjoyed the theme and style that this story is written. I got this on Audible, Now normally Audio books I can drag out for 4-7 days or sometimes more. This story is about 10 hours long, and I was able to listen to it in about a day and a half. I loved it so much. The narrator for the story is Meredith Mitchell, and did a outstanding job when describing emotions that play during the book. The story begins with learning some background information, and in the beginning I wasn't sure if I would like Tiffany as the heroine, she just seemed so flighty at times, but she proved herself many a time. I really loved the style of this "Arranged Marriage" which turned out way different than it normally does. It takes on a whole Disguise turn as well. From the moment that Tiffany hides her true identity and goes to work for the Callahans, I knew this would be fun seeing how long she could keep the pretense up. There is a bit of a mystery involved concerning the true reason for the separation between Tiffany's parents, and as the story progresses you start to piece everything together. The story is rich and full of passion, plenty drama and creativity, and sensational storytelling that is only Johanna Lindsey style.
The characters in this story were heartwarming, even the side characters find a place in the readers heart. Warren is just *sigh* lovely and sexy and I wanted to keep him for myself. Warren is very confident, knows plenty about women, and what I would give to trade with Tiffany. Even though she is just the housekeeper and cook, Warren can't resist her, and the sizzling desire doesn't take very long to become evident. I loved the way Warren is with Tiffany, he laughs and is playful with her, and has a adventurous side to him. He never failed to disappoint, my favorite character by far. Now Tiffany, it took a little while for me to find her likable, but she started to grow on me. You can't help but feel amused by the situation she has put herself in. She is from the big city, where there are balls and parties, and propriety, but then she comes out west and she makes friend with a piglet, learns to cook when she has never even boiled water, and learns how to rope a cow. She definitely becomes endearing after some time, because with this secret identity she has going on, she is forced to do things she never though she would ever do. In the beginning you see how she doesn't plan on ever marrying Warren but when he starts to slowly seduce her, she is flattered, but is jealous of herself, which was quite funny. It was lovely seeing the different families, and their unique personalities that complimented the book.
I have to say that I do hope that Lindsey turns this into a series, I definitely wouldn't mind more westerns from her. Lately though she hasn't had a series but there is much yummy material here to do a series on these two families for sure. FYI she does have another Malory novel coming out next summer which should be fun. Overall I fell in love with One Heart To Win, and only after a few chapters, this book had me totally captivated, and impossible to put down. I enjoyed every moment, and it was filled with adventure, unique storytelling, enchanting characters and sizzling passion. UNFORGETTABLE!!! I recommend to any romance lover that loves a enticing western that is first rate!!
