Lissianna Argeneau even though she is a Immortal, faints at the sight of blood, so she has to feed from mortals for sustenance. When she heads to her mother's home for her birthday party, she finds that in her old bedroom a man in her bed, tied wide eagled. To say Lissianna is surprised is a understatement. Dr. Gregory Hewitt finds himself waking up in a strangers bed room, tied to the bed and then see's a gorgeous woman. Gregory is told that he is to be Lissianna's birthday gift. Lissianna is shocked to discover a stranger in her bed, not only that but she can't read his mind, which is even more puzzeling to her. But then her mother informs her that he is not for her to feed on or even have sex with, he is to help her cure her of her phobia of seeing blood. But Greg is much more irresistable that she would imagine, and she finds it difficult to resist him.A Quick Bite is the first in the Argeneau series, and here is Lissianna's story. This is where we get introduced into this series and I found the plot and the characters to be endearing. I loved the whole concept of the hero being kidnapped and tied to the heroines bed. I mean its definitely a great start for a romance, especially with Lynsay Sands at the helm. I found A Quick Bite to be a engaging and fun read, and definitely a hard one to put down. I just loved the plot and the characters equally. It was just a enjoyable read and very witty and full of everything that Sands puts in her books, and she delivers with A Quick Bite!

My Favorite Quote:
"What the hell," he breathed "There are worse things than being a sex slave"

This is the only one of the Argeneau Series that I hadn't read, and so it was a delight to read. More so than I thought it would.
Rachel Garrett works in the morgue at the hospital, and when a dead man comes in from a gun shot wound, she is to process him. However she finds herself gazing at the most handsome dead man she has ever met. Rachel thinks she must be crazy, to have the hots for someone who is dead. Then when he wakes up, she is more shocked than ever. A little while later another corpse is brought in, a burnt one from a explosion, however she then realizes he is alive, then a crazy man comes in armed with a ax tries to kill the "supposed dead guy" she moves in front of him and saves his life, however her life is now at risk. Etienne knowing that he had no choice turns her, knowing that she had saved his life, and even though he can only turn one person, not yet fully realizing that Rachel is his lifemate. Etienne then takes her to his home for the turning and adjustment that she is going to need to accept the face that she is a Immortal or Vampire. Etienne, has his life threatened by a mortal, but he is resistant to the idea of killing him, he tries to avoid him. However in doing so, he almost killed his lifemate. Now Etienne's worry is whether or not Rachel will come to accept him into her life. Rachel wakes up confused and not believing that this is all real, her being turned a vampire. So at first she tries to treat it like a dream, (which definitely will fill you up with laughter) and when she starts to reallize that this is real, and after realizes Etienne did it to save her life, she then finds herself seeing the man behind what she at first believed him to be "a soulless bloodsucker" and the journey that will bring these two together will surprise and delight you.

I have found that I truly loved reading this, as this is the only one that I haven't read out of the Argeneau Series, and I don't know why I haven't read it yet, I had thought I had read the whole series. But when I saw Love Bites at the Library, the cover didn't look familiar to me, so when I realized I had yet to read Etienne and Rachel's story, I knew I couldn't resist. Rachel cracked me up through the whole thing, but especially at first with her believing that this situation is just a mere dream, from Etienne's family trying to push them together, which was by far amusing yet satisfying in the end. Etienne, oh boy, he sure needed a shove when learning how to woo his lifemate, he makes so many mistakes I felt so bad for him. It was like I wanted to shake him with common sense, but he proved to know how to do things right in the end. It was definitely a piece of cake that is worth tasting, that is pure romance, danger, and a mix of humor that will have you falling off your seat in amusement.

Inez Urso has been sent by her boss Bastien, to meet his cousin, Thomas at the Airport, since he is new to London. So she is a bit irritable with it being five in the morning, no shower or a cup of tea, and when she happens to meet Thomas at the Airport, he looks at her and then abruptly walks away and gets a cab. Inez is pretty upset to say the least, after all she is the Vice President of the UK operations. So wanting to impress her boss Bastien she goes to the hotel after Thomas, planning on giving him a piece of her mind. Thomas Argeneau has come to London to search for his Aunt Margeurite who, along with her partner, has gone missing. So when he arrives at his hotel, he gets a call from Bastien, when at the same time he hears a knock at his hotel room door, and as he opens it to find a very angry Inez Urso, he can tell she is railing at him, but can't understand what she is saying she is is lecturing him in Portuguese, unfortunately Bastien understand every bit of the language. Inez and Thomas have started to a bright start haven't they? However things get even more interesting when Thomas has to feed on her, per orders by Bastien, and finds that he can't erase her memories, that Inez is his life mate. Of course that just get Inez furious at him all over again, I mean what woman wouldn't be right? Eventually after being calmed down somewhat, she agrees to help him try to find his Aunt, which is his purpose here. They are both taken on a bumpy road of adventure, passion, and a danger that neither one of them sees coming.

To say that I was delighted by this one, is a understatement. Its been quite a while since I have read this one. Probably since it first came out, but I have wanted to read the Argeneau Series, and so I just had to pick this one up. It started up pretty amusing, and had me just laughing the whole way through, apart from the thrilling and moments that set my body on edge. Even though I have read this before, all I remembered was the basic points of the story. I fell in love all over again with Inez and Thomas. Inez is one of those women, that you could get coffee and go shopping with. I found myself relating myself to her so much. She has such a witty and fun personality, and yet has a low opinion of herself physically at least. I could definitely relate, as I think most women do. But when she starts connecting with Thomas and finds herself losing her heart to him, there is a confidence about her that blossoms throughout the story. Thomas of course is a hoot, don't we all love him? I found it so amusing how he handles Inez throughout the story, it was one laugh after another. There were times where I kept thinking they are so perfect for one another. I loved how strong their connect intimately, and the love scenes were sexy and erotic and seemed timed perfectly, and had the perfect mix of wit, romance and danger that we all love in this vampire series.

Mr. Lucern Argeneau is a surly stubborn vampire. He is a famous author of romance novels (who would ever guess that from Luc) but he ignores his mail, phone call and emails. His own family have to come to his house to even keep in contact with him. He is a anti social creature, whose favorite word is "No". He has no intention of being publicized, although his editor insists. She arrives at his home and camps there until she can convince him to do a interview, or a book tour.
Kate Leever is a talented, and beautiful young woman. She knows that she has to convince this surly author to do something for publicity; especially since her job is on the line. So she heads to his home, and stubbornly refuses to leave. She badgers and attempts to convince him that it would be in his best interest. Of Course his most popular word with her is "No". She has never met a man with so few vocabulary as Luc. Luc's mother, Marguerite is a interfering mother when it comes to her children, especially trying to get them married off. She convinces Luc to bring Kate as his date to Etienne's Wedding. Events occur whereby Lucern is tricked into attending the RT Convention with hundreds of fans. When he finds out what he has agreed to, he is furious with mother especially. But she reminds him that he gave his word that he would attend, so he does albeit reluctantly.

Now I absolutely loved this book, I was laughing the whole way through. If you can just imagine a handsome, alpha male and very surly attending the Romantic Times Convention; someone who hates to converse too much and his favorite word is ""no" well its a disaster waiting to happen. Which is exactly what I was thinking, but as it turned out; Lucern managed it pretty well once he learned how to converse with people and realize how important it is to keep up with his fans. The journey from him saying a few words to have whole conversations however is a riot!! I wouldn't have wanted to miss reading out on this one; so if you need a good laugh; just pick up this book and you will never regret it. Of course there were other things I enjoyed about it as well. I loved Kate; she is such a enticing character that really just makes you fall in love with her instantly. She is such a warm and lovable character. At first I was thinking there are no two more people more opposite from one another, I have no idea how they will work things out but as it turned out they ended up being complimenting one another and really just perfect for one another. Because opposites do attract, and in my opinion is one of the best ingredients for a romantic relationship; especially regarding this one. It was filled with passion, witty humor, and characters that will draw you into the story, and make you want to read more.

Duncan, has never been able to forget his one true love, the one woman who has held his heart all of these seven years. Now his closest friend and his Laird, has asked him to go in search of Moira and make sure that all is well. Even though that is the very last thing that he want to do, he knows he needs to do it. Moira, felt like Duncan had broken her heart, abandoning her when she needed him. She once would have sacrificed everything to have a future with Duncan, but she knew he saw her as others did, a sheltered princess. So she ends up marrying a handsome Laird of another clan. However she fully regrets that decision now, seven years later. She is now a mother to the most wonderful boy, but his father is abusive and she knows their time grows short. Now it will take both Duncan and Moira working together to save her son. But Moira never expected to fall in love all over again with the one man that broke her hurt all those years ago. But now she is willing to fight for their love...but will Duncan fight for her and the love that they share?
The Warrior is the third installment in the Return of the Highlander Series. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to access it through my library. First off I have to say I just love this cover and portrays Duncan perfectly. He is well known for knowing how to sail on the sea, and is a very skilled warrior. Normally I am not a fan of long hair, but on Duncan it has a sexy appeal to it. Ducan is the silent warrior type, he broods alot and we see this in the earlier books in the series. But he also has some hidden talents we see peeking through. I also really enjoyed Moira, she had spunk. I really enjoyed seeing how protective she is of her son, and she is willing to fight to save the ones she loves. I found that a very positive quality, and I liked how she interacted with Duncan and tries to prove to him that she isn't a fragile doll about to break. There was some good tension mixed in with a sizzling romance. I also enjoyed the secondary characters that livened up the story as well. There was also a danger element to the plot that added to the flavor of the whole story. As a side not any of those that like a good canine in a romance...this one is for you. The boy's dog Sar is so protective and such fun to see the way he is blended in with the story. I have truly come to fall in love with the master story teller that portrays a vivid world which takes the reader back through time and makes 1500 Scotland come alive in the readers mind. Such a sexy romp that fully engages the reader with enchanting characters, a plot full of adventure and intrigue, and a sensual love story that will just break your heart. A Wonderful addition to a series that has me completely hooked. A Must read for those who love a fun and sexy highlander romance that will curl your toes!!

Mercy, after her mother dies she knows that she needs to find some work, so she finds a position as a governess with the only staff as retired soldiers....oh boy...Mercy has no idea what she has gotten herself into. Mercy however is charmed by her young charge, a shy and reserved girl who has recently lost both her parents and now lives with a uncle who has barely spoken a word to her. In the beginning when Mercy arrives, there is a spark between herself and Nash her employer, and after they share a sizzling kiss that could curl ones toes, she just knows that she could be in trouble thats for sure....for she knows there can never be a happy ending for her if she falls in love with Nash...There are some books I enjoy from this author and others I don't like very much and I have to say that this is one of her books I liked the least. I felt as I was reading it that it felt choppy and not put together and flowed smoothly as I though it could have been. Although I did like the plot and story line well enough, I felt I had to force myself to get through it and I didn't enjoy reading this book much, and I honestly thought I would really love it. I just have always loved historical romances that deal with governess however I found myself tempted to skim the pages but I wanted to give it a good shot....even though there were small parts I enjoyed it just wasn't enough to be a average read for me. I am usually not very strict when it comes to books...but when I read a book that I have to force myself to read and it takes me some time that it just isn't worth reading. Although I would still recommend read this author on occasion since some of her books are quite well written but this one just wasn't enough for me....

When I first read a review for Tiger Time, I knew this was a must read. Now I know that it is definitely a must read for anyone that like were romances. It's definitely one of those that draws you immediately into the story, and never lets you go. I really enjoyed the sparks between Ty and Tabby, there was definitely some sizzling passion going on, but I also loved the emotional bond that forms too. There was also a bit of a mystery and intrigue element that added a bit of spice to the story. I think I have a found a new favorite author in Marissa Dobson. Although there was one set back that I didn't like too much, the length of the story. I just wish it could have been longer, it just seemed like there could have been more to it. Overall though, a wonderfully written story of a woman's journey into the unknown and a man who would show her to her destiny. LOVED IT!!!! Looking forward to the next one in the series.

In The Dark Of Dreams is by Marjorie M Liu, its the most recent in the Dirk & Steele series. Jenny at twelve years old found a boy upon the beach, and had dreams of him, dreams of peace and love and a friendship that made her ache to find him, and to never stop searching for the boy that held her heart in his hands. Now she is a adult, and is part of a family that is both good and evil. Half of her family has tried to destroy the life that she has built for herself, the other half is part of the Dirk & Steele company. When she goes to investigate a death of a woman, she never expected on the sea to have her life torn upside down and to be saved by the one that haunts her dreams, Perrin. After having her close friend betray her, she knows that now there is something dangerous yet she trusts him as she has never trusted anyone else. But there is a danger on the horizon, which will take both Perrin and Jenny working together where they will have to trust in the love in each other, to save each other and to save millions.
In The Dark Of Dreams, was a thrilling ride and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to read such a read. It was filled with all the kind of aspects that I enjoy in a good romance. Jenny has loved Perrin for a long time, and after finally having found him, she never wants to let him go. She would rather fight by his side, than be left on the sidelines. Perrin, having been exiled by his people and his own father, aches to return back to the sea. Then after realizing the great danger the world is in, he knows that he needs to find the one woman that has held his heart, mind and soul for so many years. All he knows is that he must do everything in his power to protect her at all costs. Both of these two strong characters will come to realize how powerful the love for each other, and how it will manifest itself in this enticing love story that Marjorie M Liu has created for her readers. Although the beginning started up slowly, it picked up pace quickly and I fell in love with the plot and the characters. There was such powerful emotions that were displayed so riveting throughout the whole book, that made the story and the characters come alive for the reader. Marjorie M Liu has done it again, she has created a story that will stir up your senses where you will only want to cry out for more, yet leaving you satisfied.

Shadow Of The Vampire begins with the King of Dragon, Declan Black, but then he gets captured by the princess of the Vampires, Alexia Feodorovna, when she discovers he has come out for revenge for his parents deaths. But Alexia knows after Declan's capture that he knows the location to a certain crystal that holds certain powers, and knows that she must have it if she is to claim the throne and lead her people to peace with the Dragons, however when she comes to Declan to question him one thing leads to another and they find each other in a passionate embrace. Even though Declan has always despised the Vampires especially after what was done to his parents, there is a difference in Alexia, and he knows that there is a explosive desire that is building between them admixt the danger that is surrounding them.

Shadow Of The Vampire is written by Megan Hatfield, and this is the first book that I have read from her and I just loved loved loved reading this book. I was lucky to get obtain a copy to review, and I plan on reading more from this author. Some of the things that I really loved about this book, was that one I love stories involving dragons, and so that was definitely a plus for this one. Another reason, is that I loved the characters throughout the book. Alexia, is the princess of the Vampires, but has been put through a more solitary life with just soldiers and her mother and her companion by her side. Now she has had to learn to learn ways of torturing to gain information, but when she is told that she must torture this Dragon Lord whose eyes stir her up inside, she resists having to torture him especially after exchanging such sensual embraces, where he stirs sensations that she never thought she could ever have thought existed. But she knows that she could never willingly harm him when she finds herself falling in love with the Dragon Lord who has taken hold of her heart, and knows that there isn't a way for them to be together. I found Shadow Of The Vampire to be a sensation and thrilling read, that had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation on what was going to happen next, and since I read this E Book style, it took me awhile to get it read, but once I got involved in the story, I read it in one day, which is a testament to how much I truly have loved this story, one of my favorite paranormal romances so far! So hooyah for Meagan Hatfield and her talent at bringing her stories to life for her readers!!

In Highland Warrior, Jamie Campbell is a enforcer of justice, and is wanting to know the location of Alistair of the MacGregor clan that are outlaws, and knows that since the Lamont Clan had close ties to the MacGregor clan, he plans on finding where Alisdair is being hidden. So he plans on wooing the sweet Caitrina who mesmerizes his body and soul. He finds himself drawn to her like a moth to a flame. He knows that even though there is a ulterior motive to him courting Caitrina, after tasting her sweet kisses, he knows that there is a connection between them that can't be denied. Caitrina Lamont has three brothers and a father that she loves dearly, and she knows that she doesn't want to settle down and marry. She is content until she meets the compelling highland warrior that entices her with tender embraces and a passion she finds within in that she didn't know existed. But her hopes come crashing down when her beautiful serene world falls apart and loses all of her family and her clan driven out, she knows Jamie's cousin is responsible, but will their feelings toward one another be strong enough to endure the coming challenges?

I truly loved this and had it read in a couple of hours, since I just read it non stop, without stopping. The pages flew by so fast since I was so entranced into this beautiful love story. I truly loved Caitrina and Jamie. Jamie fights for justice and hunts down outlaws, however all that he is and believes in will be challenged after he connects with his one true love. Caitrina, after losing her family and almost being killed herself, never suspected to see Jamie again. However when he proposes marriage to her in return he will help her rebuild her clan, she knows she has a duty to her people. But this arrangement hold many surprises that will teach this handsome couple the meaning and importance of loving and trusting amidst a dangerous world. I have loved reading from this author, she writes such compelling scottish romances that touch the soul. You will never be disappointed with Monica McCarty.
