Annabel Winslow is from a family of eight children, and now that her father has passed away, she knows that she has to start thinking about their welfare, and they will need substantial income before long. But the Earl of Newbury, hasn't any heirs and must have one in order to prevent the Earldom going to his nephew Sebastian Grey, a handsome rogue that has caught Annabel's eye. One night Annabel and Sebastian met and shared a passionate kiss, that rivaled anything either one of them had experienced. However Annabel is in a terrible position, as now she is pressured by her grandmother that she must marry the Very old and lustful Earl of Newbury, who just wants her for her body; but Annabel desperately wants more from her life than a incubator for the Earls future children. But Annabel is falling hard and fast for the handsome nephew, who makes her laugh and feel like she has never have felt before, and she wonders if she could ever live without this one man that she starts falling in love with, but is torn between duty and obligation to love and a brightful future. What will she decide? Love or Duty?

Ten Things I Love About You was a truly emotional and provacative story, that definitely had me asking certain question and get involved into the tender love story and riveting characters that came alive off of the page. Annabel has been put in a terrible position from not knowing which choice would be better for her and her family and the future, but starts to question herself the one question whether or not she deserves to be happy. This powerful story takes Annabel on a journey of discovery and love and passion, and finding one's self. Annabel is forthright, opinionated and beautiful, but yearns for love not to be used to breed children, she wants something much more out of life, and knows that Sebastian can give her all that she has hoped and dreamed for. I found Ten Things I Love About You to be a emotional roller coaster with these two characters, that have had unhappy lives, but dream of happiness they see in others that surround them, that have found love and managed to hold onto it. I just loved how well Julia Quinn portrayed these characters and how real they seemed to be to this reader, and how it made me laugh, dance and cry, to be so immersed in the story I felt as if I was a part of this wondeful love story, filled with mystery and passion.

Princess Rose has been in love with Leopold Hunt all of her life. But then two years ago he rejected her and hurt her more than she thought possible. Now she is engaged to another man, whom she may not love, but she knows they will make a good match. When her carriage suffers a accident in England, she is shocked when the marquess himself comes to rescue her. Face to face with Leopold has stirred up all of her old feelings that she once thought were buried. Leopold, knows he made a mistake with Rose those years ago, but now is free from his father's manipulations to pursue his true desires....which lie in a future with Rose. Now all he has to do is convince her how sincere he is this time around, and prove to her of his love and his devotion. Princess In Love is the second in this trilogy. I found myself really enjoying this one, although I did like Rose, I think I enjoyed Leopold even more. We see such strength from him, and I just love seeing how hard he tries to prove himself to Rose. I found him very endearing at various times. Leopold is a very striking characters, that just makes you want to cheer him on. I think Rose could have been more self aware, she seemed to me to be a bit spineless at times. But I did grow to like her, especially at the end. This story is divided into four parts and I just loved how this story was put together. Even though there were parts that I questioned "Why???" I definitely found it to be a sensual and witty read that keeps the reader engaged. I loved the depth of emotion that is portrayed through to the reader. Again Julianne Maclean delivers a compelling love story that will knock your socks off!!

Lord Martin Langdon has great pride in his scandalous reputation that he has created for himself. Now he is a boat racer, and a competant and talented one at that, and now the race is on for who will win Evelyn Wheaton, a widow, just come out of mouring, and looking for marriage and a family. So Martin pursues the beautiful widow Evelyn, because part of him can't stand to see his rival winning the hand of her, because on the outside she seems prim, cool and proper, however he is determined to break down that barrier and find a passionate woman with dreams and desires that he plans to unravel, however he never expected to fall in love while he was doing it, or to find that she has found joy and love in his embrace and never wanting to let go, despite the pain that holds Langdon back from racing toward the greatest happiness he would ever find....in Evelyn's arms.
Surrender To A Scoundrel is the sixth installment in the American Heiress Series that Julianne Maclean has written. I have to say that from the first to last page I was entranced by this romantic story that takes us back to the late 1800's in England. Its about a story of two young people that care for each other without fully realizing that they are destined for each other, through a twist of fate. Both the hero and heroine in this story have suffered some version of pain and suffering in their lives, and only when they come to each other and find love. I found the characters of this story to be endearing, the plot to be filled with one adventure after another, and this author has such a talent for writing memorable romantic fiction.

Violet Redmond, even though she loves her family, tends to feel smothered too much by them, so aching for adventures, she secretly boards a ship in search of her missing brother who is rumored to be a pirate and one who has been sinking ships and taking cargo. Unwilling to believe that her brother would harm innocent people, so goes in search for him, however the Captain of the ship that she is on is hunting this notorious pirate for vengeance since once of his friends was killed by him. The Earl of Ardmay, is furious that this woman could be so courageous and formidable at times, and feisty as hell. So they engage in betting against one another, and before either of them realize it, desire flares up quite like a fire to kindling, and must learn to trust in each other before they lose each other….I Kissed An Earl is the fourth installment in the Pennyroyal Greens series by Julie Anne Long. I have recently this past year discovered this author, and I have just loved each of her books that she has written (even though its only been a few so far) I just read this so fast that my head spin, I was so caught up in the story and the entertaining characters that had me laughing through most of it. There was such a witty side to the story, even though the plot there wasn’t much except toward the end, it was their interaction with each other that made it far from dull, and a fun and warm love story!!! Although far from my favorite read, it did make me smile, laugh, and feel contentment at the end!!!

Captain Chase Eversea, returned from the war, is surprise when he is sent a missive (note) from a woman who needs his help. when he goes to the meeting place-he is surprise to find that the woman who needs him is none other than Rosalin March-the one woman he has never been able to forget. Roasalind has asked for Chase's help in finding her missing sister. At first Chase doesn't think it has merit, however upon further consideration he finds that there is definitely something missing out of this dilemma and goes about trying to find her sister, but all the while through their investigation, their desire for each other reignites into flaming passion....Since The Surrender is the third installment in the Pennyroyal Green series by Julie Ann Long. This is the first time that I have read a book from this author, and I am so glad that I did. I had heard good things, so I decided to try her out, and the blurb sounds interesting so when I saw it in the library I couldn't refuse to pick it up. At the beginning, the story caught my attention, but the consistency of vivid interest wasn't all the way through, just on and off, but I enjoyed the plot of the story, and the intensity of the relationship between the characters, and of course a boy urchin, who just caught at my heart strings, and wished I could take him under my wing, a very charming story overall....definitely planning on reading more from this author!!! A Great Read!!

When Rose was seventeen, she was very innocent and impulsive, and kissed Lord Sinclair, but overwhelmed by the sensations, ended up pushing him into a fountain and fleeing the scene and hiding from everyone inculding him, and leaving him to face the consequences, and Lord Sinclair has been wanting revengefor six years, and has found her again and is determined to get back at her, only he never thought he would fall in love with her. Rose, regretting her foolish act six years ago, has lived in the countryside taking care of her father and sisters, but when she is invited to a house party by her godmother (also Lord Sinclair's Aunt), she knows she has no choice but to except, especially for her sister's sake. However when she bumps into Lord Sinclair, she is shocked to see him again, but she starts to feel alive whenever he is near, and even though they are in one wager after another, she starts to fall in love with him again, but doesn't know if she can truly trust in their love and in Lord Sinclair...... How To Capture A Countess is the first of a new series "The Duchess Diaries" by Karen Hawkins. Karen Hawkins has been one of my favorite authors, and I just loved the energy of this new book, it definitely had Hawkins spark and flair, and the story had the same feeling of fun and humor that I have always seen in the past. Lord Sinclair, just cracked me up especially in the beginning, especially his attitude toward life, and women, and I loved the playful interaction between Lord Sin and Rose. I also loved the spirit of Rose Balfour, at first she seems timid and reserved, but as the book progresses she comes out of her shell into a playful and full of life heroine, that you just want to cheer her on......a beautifully written romance filled with passion, zest and humor that will definitely enthrall you for more!!! A Must Read!!!

When Shemaine O Hearn finds herself engaged, and falling in love with a wonderful man she thinks nothing could go wrong, everything is going right, but she has one person that doesn't approve of the match, his grandmother. So before Shemaine knows it, she has been falsely accused of thievery and is sent to America and sold into servitude for seven years. The ride on the ship was hard enough and she doesn't know what is in her future. Then she is surprised when she is sold to a Gage Thornton, who is a shipbuilder and in need of someone to care for his son and to cool and clean....Shemaine figures it couldn't get any worse now. Shemaine is surprised by how well Gage treats her, with courtesy and respect and kindness something no one has treated her since she was taken. So even though Shemaine misses her old life, she is prepared to start a new life with Gage and his son, and in Gage's arms finds "Home".Petals On The River would have to be one of my all time favorite books from this author...one that I have probably read over and over....but its been a while since I have read it, and when I saw it in the library I just wanted to read this old favorite of mine. Petals On The River is such a sweet and charming story, and both Gage and Shemaine are such endearing characters you can't help but love them. Also one thing that I love about this story is how there is much more to this story than a mere love story, it has some difficult conflicts that both Shemaine and Gage have to go through, and there some suspenseful scenes that kept the story going...and I just loved the blossoming romance that developed between these two. And I just thought Gage's little boy Andrew was just charming and adorable.....Overall a loveable story filled with a charming characters, a exciting plot, and a love story that will make you cry, written by a Legend......A Sensational Romance!!!!
