It's about pain, survival, and healing in so many different ways.
The story is character driven and said characters are so lovable which makes this story so amazing.
Everyone needs an Arioch! Without a doubt my absolute favorite shadow man!
The way he helped Aheia in his wicked way because he knew exactly what she needed. I loved every single sentence that came out of his mouth!
This cliffhanger drives me crazy and I want to fast forward time so I can read the next book right away.

I wanted a book to cry and CE Ricci delivered. I've mentioned it a couple of times, but it's very hard to make me cry. And I've shed tears over Cannon and Easton.
Chapter 38? I'm still not over it.
I could feel every ounce of their pain. I love CE Ricci's writing style and her way of making everything so palpable.
My heart broke so many times, especially for Cannon.
My God, Cannon. I love him so much! He's so selfless and literally gave everything he had to hold Easton together, to hold on to every single broken piece of him. He owns my heart!
I would've liked to see Easton support Cannon a little bit more at some points. But he did what he was able to do. He tried, I know he did. And in the end, he gave Cannon exactly what he needed most.
They're both so lovable characters, I miss them already.
