I wasn't sure what to expect with this short story, but when I saw that it was by Rainbow Rowell, I knew I had to get my hands on it! I was so grateful I picked up and read it - it was absolutely ADORABLE.

I loved the character development we saw in Elena specifically but also Greg, Troy and (funnily enough) Elena's mom. I was so taken with this story, especially since it allowed a popular girl to show off her inner fangirl.

I absolutely loved this story and am so glad that I grabbed it! Definitely recommended for a quick, half hour read - ESPECIALLY if you have any fandom love in your body. It doesn't even have to be for Star Wars - this book just screams to be read by anyone who adores a fandom.

"We're all apart of the line."

Oh. My. God. This book was one of the most unique concepts I've read in a very long time. I was absolutely blown away by the writing style and details included in this incredible read.

I was unsure what to expect when I saw a review stating it was, "A sweeping prehistoric fantasy debut with allusions to Pride and Prejudice" but oh my goodness it means something absolutely incredible.

Kol and Mya have to be two of the most dynamic characters I've read about in a long time. The relationship between these two was absolutely stellar and they just played off each other so well.

Kol, the main character, was not afraid of who he was an embraced it with pride, while Mya and other females in this book not only took their place among the hunters but also their place as leaders.

The action throughout was never lacking and in my own mind, created an illusion of cave drawings and prehistoric romance. There was a point in the story where one of the tribes storytellers recited a story of their past and it really made me feel apart of that history.

There were moments while reading that I got vibes of many of my favorite books - The Great Gatsby was one I got multiple times. The writing style was just so beautiful I can only compare it to the talent that F. Scott Fitzgerald.

The only thing I wish for (and sincerely hope the finished released copy includes) is a map to really paint a picture of the distances/different points that the characters travel and reside throughout the book.

This has absolutely been one of my top reads this year, and overall has jumped instantly into my favorites pile. I am so excited and hopeful for an additional novel revealing more stories from the lives of Kol and Mya, as well as their brothers, sisters and extended families.

This book hooks you from the very first sentence. An absolute MUST READ.

Oh my god. I just....it's been 36 hours since I finished this book, and I tried to give myself time to calm down since finishing it, but I am so obsessed with this series....I'm just in desperate need of the last book in the trilogy.

Deep breath..okay. Where to begin. Well, this book was so unique because it was from Fox's perspective, which was entirely different from the first read, which was from Avery's perspective. Night Fox allowed the reader to see through Fox's eyes - his reactions and thought process.

I absolutely loved the way that this middle book in the series wasn't the typical "dry" segue into the final book. This was a story all its own and kept me reading from the very first page. I was absolutely captivated by how dark Fox's thoughts were and was eager to find out where this story was going.

I was so overwhelmed and stressed at moments, and the end of the book just killed me.

Bottom line, I love Fox at least triple what I did before and that was already a ton. Now I just get to die waiting for the release of the last book.

Veronica Roth is a horrible human being. That being said, Allegiant is a masterpiece. There were parts that were definitely much slower than I would have liked - a lot of the science jargon and explanations seemed a bit much to me, however it definitely helped explain the first two books throughly and what their purpose was. After half a box of kleenex, I will vouch for a moving and shocking ending. Definitely a wonder piece of fiction. I adore this series.

I received a free advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

I had absolutely no idea what to expect with this retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I was so worried about it being cliche or so vastly different, and it wasn’t either of those things. It was a perfect mix of old and new.

The character development bothered me a bit in the sense that it seemed rushed in some places. Either Blossom was too quick to get over something, or Kaide was too quick to relax….I don’t know. It seemed like there was something missing in their relationship and the way they communicated.

I was also a bit annoyed with the repetition of phrases. It felt almost as though they kept repeating themselves and how they felt about each other – Kaide was especially repetitive. It got to the point of being excessive; okay, I get it, she’s beautiful and you regret something. It was the same story every time they hit a new event, him enjoying the moment and then regretting something later.

There were also pieces of the book where I highly questioned their decisions. They seemed so sure of themselves in the moment but as a reader I had to doubt them because honestly, some of their choices made me very skeptical that they knew what they were doing.

Aside from those components of the story that I wasn’t a huge fan of, this was one of the most creative plot lines I’ve ever read. I was so thrilled with the universe (totems? Come on, that’s awesome), as well as the different lands. It kind of reminded me of Avatar: The Last Airbender, with the separation of the different communities but it was so unique with humans being transformed into animals on their 18th birthday.

I was so in love with the plot and the relationship between Kaide, Blossom, Raine and the rest of the supporting characters, I am so excited for the next book in this series featuring Raine herself. The last three pages sold me on this book and gave me immense hope and anticipation for the rest of the series.

I'm giving this one a 4.5 out of 5. And I've given the other three books solid 4s. Oh my god. After hearing so many awful things I was not expecting what I just read.

Eadlyn is no America. She is no Maxon and she is no Celeste or Marlee or Kriss. She is simply Eadlyn and she owned this book. There were moments where yes, she seemed to be ungrateful if not a bit demanding and honestly was selfish and pushy.

But throughout the story she was consistent. Until she wasn't. And I am refusing to ruin it for you, my dear reader, but I've never been moved to tears by any of the Selection books and the ending of this one had me choked up.

Eadlyn grew so much as a Princess soon to be Queen in the 300 pages of this book. And she didn't have to, but she learned that she was missing out if she didn't.

I am very grateful to have read this and I really really enjoyed it. I cannot wait for the final (or supposed to be final) book of The Selection series.

I was so happy with the ending of this series - beyond happy. I wasn't one of the people who was disappointed in The Heir however I reread it prior to reading The Crown so I could get the names straight and everything.

Once I reread The Heir I could see a bit more clearly why people were disappointed with it, however I still loved it just as much as I did the first time around. The Crown was just so different. It really showed Eadlyn growing up and accepting the cards she had been dealt. She learned to put herself second and to take care of those people and situations around her.

I was so grateful to have stuck with this series and I absolutely believe that it ended perfectly. I am so glad for all the characters and their final moments in print. One of my favorite series, absolutely!

I loved the plot. I tell you that first because I have to admit that I was not a fan of how this wonderful story was written.

I felt it had a very basic writing format. Things seemed to skip ahead or move to quickly when they didn't need to or could have easily been more filled out. It didn't flow as well as I wanted it to and reading it felt choppy and almost elementary at points.

That said, I loved Wiley. I thought her brothers were really underdeveloped and I thought Phinn was annoying and his demeanor was transparent the whole time. Like I said, basic writing.

I did love this retelling. I loved where the story went and where it is still going (wasn't expecting there to be a sequel but there will be!). But overall, the writing style was only subpar for me and really hurt it for me.

Bottom line, if you're looking for a good retelling, this is your book. If you're looking for a book with substance and depth, look elsewhere.
