Im confused about my opinion of this book. On the one hand I enjoyed it on the other i find it incredibly weird and boring. 
Theres alot of stories going on what could've been interesting and could have been glossed over.
I understand that it's a geek myth and thus you can't stray too far from the original but there are storylines that couldve had more detail. The story becomes a little boring half way through the book.
I wished we got to follow a more badass version of Circe that I've come to love from the original storyline.
I'm a little disappointed as I am a huge song of Achilles fan so o had high hopes and put it off for so long because of those hopes.
I hope that the next book that she's working on is going to be more exciting.
I did enjoy the Achilles references tho.

I dont think I've ever cried within the first chapter over ANYTHING, especially not in a manga the whole way through.
I need the rest of the series right now!

I feel like I'm the only one with this opinion but I like iron flame alot better than fourth wing...
I love that the characters actually go through the emotions and the events that happen from the last book (and this book ofc) BC I feel like in alot of books whenever someone kills a person or something else happens, they dont talk about it anymore or dont show any emotion about what just happened, iron flame is a great example of what happened.
I cant wait to read onyx storm and the rest of the series when they come out.

The beginning was hard for me to get into, thats why it took me months to finally finish this book. Once i got through the 50% mark I couldnt put it down even though i had to bc... Life. The plot twists were INSANE and definitely the last one they left us with. I was planning to read more of a palate cleanser book between fourth wing and iron flame but fuck that i need to start it right away!

I'd definitely recommend this book if youre into enemies to lovers, or books like the Hunger games as its probably a bit inspired by that.

The komagawa food detectives are about a father and daughter duo who own a restaurant.
The father is an ex police officer, and because of that, he started a food detective restaurant with his daughter.

I really did enjoy this book. However, I wish we got to detect the food with them so we got more out of the story. I understand that this decision was made because we were meant to feel the magic with the customers, but since we're not, I feel like we missed a lot of the story. The author just kinda just told us how it was done in a very vague way. I did enjoy the different stories, but I just wish there was more of the story.

All I can say is H O L Y shit this book is one hell of a rollercoaster of emotions
It's a magical realism that plays with the idea of colonism and translation. 
Robin (mc) gets shipped off to England from China by a professor to study translation. 
He meets his friends Ramy, Victoire, and Letty, with whom he quickly grows a strong bond.
As time goes on, he learns how unfair it is that everything gets translated into English but never the other way around, which would make the other countries strong too instead of just England. 
Later on, Robins whole world gets turned upside down in every single way possible, and I couldn't put my book down after that point.
I loved Ramy as a character and enjoyed reading his backstory the most. 
Letty was annoying from the beginning, and at the end, I disposed her (for good reasons)
The book is well rounded and very detailed.
I loved that little details throughout the book actually got back and explained at later points in the story.
The explanations at the ends of the pages were unnecessary and didn't add anything to the book.
I'd definitely really like this book, and I believe this is a book everyone should read at some point in their life.
I can't believe I wanted to DNF this in the beginning as it was a little boring at the start, but I didn't realise that the 'boring' points actually got touched on.

Sipsworth is about a lady of 82 who's lived, loved, and lost a lot. She's back in England, where she grew up and is lonely and is basically waiting for her life to end. 
Instead, she finds a mouse. She wants to return or just kill it in the beginning, but later comes to love the thing. This is a book about second chances and makes you ask the question about when lofe truly ends and its purposes.

I loved the book, I finished it in just a couple of days, which is crazy to me. It's also been a while since I've cried over a book, and I didn’t expect it to be over a mouse. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good contemporary.
