I am ready for issue #2 because this is a cautionary tale of be careful of fooling around in things that you don't understand because it may backfire. This is also a cautionary tale of be careful for what you wish for.

I wondering what is happening with the two main characters who are adult parents. I am wondering what is happening with the mother and her child from her first marriage.

The last panel almost brought me to tears! It is so hard to read when children are not being protected or a marginalized person being harm due to their identity.

This is my first time reading a comic that includes the challenges of being a trans person and living in your truth. I truly feel like that some identities by itself can be horrific and the subject matters fits with the genre. This is a comic of how a blended family have difficulty with blending due to gender identity, gender expression, and parental guidance.

Sometimes you need friends to rip the band off and tell you when you messing up. Messing up in any way of your life. However, you need to be honest with yourself and with your friends. Understanding that running away from your problems will not remove the problem. I am starting to think that the monster is a metaphor for something more insidious and that can impact the child lifelong.

This comic continues to get more and more interesting. I wonder what will happen to this family and how the dynamic will further change the involvement in the child.

This comic spoke to the fact that there are people who have children and MISS THE PLOT OF THE MOVIE (pop culture reference). If you children being neglected is extremely triggering for you, this is not the comic for you. The reason why I connected to this comic is because neglect looks differently. In society, we are taught that neglect is ONLY PHYSICAL. We as a society we think that abandonment is when someone or something leaves you, but we don't talk about abandonment of a person(s) in FRONT OF YOU.

This book shinned light on different types of neglect and abandonment of a child who is having a hard time that is often over looked by stressed out and overwhelmed parents.

Other than some technical psychology things that I was like "okkkkaay" to I really enjoyed this book. I've never read a book about a person with Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD) who is working with law enforcement to solve crimes of people with possible APD. I do think the amount of times she referred to herself as having APD was a little bit of an overkill but the description of the story was delivered to the reader was top tier! Really enjoyed this book and I play to read the next book in the serious.

I also love a mystery within a mystery and that's what was happening in this book.

Cash is seriously a woman after my own heart. She has been through so much adversity and stress. She is been removed from her community and is existing as a Native woman without the aid of her cultural community. She is cared for by this sheriff (law enforcement officer) and is trying to figure out what happened to a Native Man who was found dead in Fargo, ND. Listening to the audiobook was a great experience as I got to immerse myself in the reading experience of her and the sheriff try to figure out what happened and how she may or may not be connected.
