This was such a great installment its been a very log time since I picked this series up so I was a bit lost in areas, however this was great. I loved all the twists it took and I can't wait for volume nine. I like the moral ambiguity of the main character and I feel alike authors trusts the audeincentonfigurebout when she's acting good and when she's acting bad.

I wish these were longer though as i find graphic novels are always much too short.

The art in this was amazing and I'm just in awe of this whole world. It's stunning. I hope we get more works set in the world after the series closes.

It was good, but I feel like this series got stretched out a bit and also got very not necessarily cliche but it played into a lot of popular tropes that have been almost beaten to death so this did not feel that new or exciting. I think the first book in this series was the strongest since it had so much potential and rest fell flat a bit.

I enjoyed this a lot more than the Selection series as a whole. I personally don't see this as part of the Selection series, but more of its own sequel duology because even though it follows a second selection it's very different. And I like that this is a duology because I do think that the original trilogy was too long and a lot of the political stuff got boring and was poorly executed and felt like it was shoved in to create drama/fill space on the page.

First of all, I like the Eadlyn wasn't perfect. She's very entitled and unlikable, but changes as the story progress. Such a step up from her parents who were decent people and their character development involved more falling in love than becoming better people.

I also like that unlike in The Selection, we don't know how it's going to end. I know Eadlyn's going to choose someone, but I don't know who.

I enjoy how it shows the political angle of a Selection too, ie, the people are upset, distract the media!!! Not only did it show how much of a show it can be, but it also points out a lot of stereotypes and double standards since it's now the reverse, a girl choosing from a pool of guys. It's so easy to see where something that happens in this Selection just wouldn't fly in a male lead one, or how even though it's supposed to be Eadlyn choosing all the dates etc the Selected still feel the need to take her out. I like the idea of the Selected taking the monarch out to try and woo them and it would have been cool in the original trilogy.

This one is definitely a bit less of a guilty pleasure/comfort read than The Selection is. I enjoyed this one a little bit more and I'm hoping unlike the trilogy this doesn't get worse with each installment.

I was a bit skeptical going in because I wasn't the biggest fan of King of Scars, however this book was on parr with everything else I've read from this author.

This book was just so good. It was too good. Very gripping. I can't believe how much the world has expanded since Shadow and Bone came out and I cannot wait to see where it will go with the next addition to the Sox of Crows duology.

I loved how the ending was open, but it still felt like it rapped up the series well. It's been a while since I've read a good open ending and I loved it.

I'll be semi-patiently awaiting the next installment in the Grishaverse.

And I would like to add the poster in the back of the Indigo edition is gorgeous. I'm very glad its not the same map they had in KOS because sometimes the exclusive editions give you rhe same or similar stuff. The annotated chapter was interesting too. I love that stuff, gimme more.

I liked this story a lot more. I wouldn't say it did much for the lore but it was kind of a darker tale and I enjoyed it. The different art styles were nice, however, if did not like all of them and some artists drew a character the way a different cahatlrafer was drawn by a different smartest so it could take a moment to figure out who was who.

Defitnly a quick comfort read for any Oncer. And absolutely stunning with great extras, focusing a bit more on how this book was made which was great.

I wish they'd done a few more comics.
