at first, i found the romance(s) to be questionable, but i grew to love them.

quick rant:
alll aelin has ever done is try her best to save herself and her people and fight for the underdog and chaol STILL doesnt trust her????? that is some bullSHIT. i know he eventually gets over it but it still pisses me oFF

the first half of this book was really slow, then it got kind of exciting, then chapter 55-end was like 5 stars

soooo good!!!! rick riordan has made me love men named leo extra!!!! they were soo good together. AND THE FREAKING CLAY AND GIANA BONUS SCENE R U KIDDING ME??????
however, kandi steiner drives me CRAZY with these third act breakups!!! i understand why mary was mad, but i dont think it was worth breaking up over. and also mary’s mom never apologized for making her feel bad about being a tattoo artist??? that made me mad. but what didnt make me mad was the freaking HAIL MARY. i almost cried bc it was so perfect. did kandi make her named mary just so she could do that???? bc thats genius!!!!

i actually really liked this!! the story was good and the writing was good for the most part. shane was kind of cringey sometimes, but i liked pilot. also, sometimes shane was a little too similar to christine, but the book still made me happy. ive been following christine for a really long time, and it made me sad to see that this didnt have the greatest reviews, but im glad that i liked it.

i liked this! the spice was fun and the characters were good together. (also i love the guy on the cover) i do think giana was cringey sometimes and the end was unnecessary. giana wasn’t the only cringey one, i really hated when clay called her kitten. and he have me secondhand embarrassment at the end. also, i know clay has the typical romance body, but i like how she never mentioned giana being super skinny. i feel like in every sports romance theyre like “omg this girl is so tiny” and while she didn’t really explicitly have a diverse body, it was nice to not constantly be reminded of how perfect her body was

this was sooooo good!!!! i really liked the characters. my only two qualms were:
1. it took me a while to feel their chemistry. like when they first started texting and stuff i feel like we didnt get enough build up of that
2. the end was too fast!!! i wanted to watch him apologize to his brothers, and i wanted the epilogue to be further in the future
challenging

this was alright. i am studying it in my “early modern british literature” class. i think it is very well written but i dont love the characters
and the attempted rape was gross and creepy and felt so out of place. cmon shakespeare!!!

i really enjoyed this! i liked the characters and the story. the only things that bugged me were the non consensual kiss at the very beginning + the fact that some of the dialogue felt unrealistic
