the first half of this was super slow, and i didnt love the romances, but the writing was superb, and i really liked elinor’s character!

this was more angsty than i prefer, but it was an interesting read! like i wasnt that invested in it, but i still feel like it is an objectively good book. i am almost finished w sarah macleans backlist!

i kind of hated this. the premise could have been interesting, but i didnt like any of the characters or the writing or the pacing. i should have dnf’ed. i ended up hate-reading it. all of the men were horrible, and i didn’t like most of the friendships. ALSO, what was with the use of “?!” in dialogue????? the ending provided no closure and felt pointless. the storyline with her dad could have been really meaningful, but i felt like i got nothing out of it

i think alec’s character development was really, really well done, but the end of this dragged on. it could have stopped after chapter 13. 

the fact that this didnt have an epilogue is CRIMINAL, but i still enjoyed it! i love west, and i really liked the pacing + plot

read this as part of my quest to conquer tessa dare’s entire backlist. it was giving mastermind by taylor swift, and i loved that. the epilogue was also sweet af. 

the first 75% of this was basically perfect, and i liked the way the rest of it was plotted, but i wanted them to have a conversation at the end where gabriel promised to stop being so overprotective!!!!!!!! that would have made it perfect
