this was really, really sweet, and i loved abigail’s journey, but parts of the plot were unnecessarily complicated and hard to understand. i also wish she would have come out to her parents, because i know they would have been understanding and loving💞

i wanted to see more of grant’s character development, and i wanted the plot to flow more smoothly, but it was certainly fun & had a creative premise

the writing was good, the spice was nice, and the characters were good together, but i didnt like the end conflict, and i was mad that sadie didnt get what she wanted. i just hate the idea that all girls want to get married. it feels like the author is giving in to gender stereotypes. i think holden should have had to compromise. i know he was willing to, but i think thats how it should have ended up

a fun & spicy historical, but im not obsessed w the characters

the story was really sweet, but i feel like matt didnt have enough flaws and elaine had too many flaws. she totally led him on and it made me feel icky. also some of the dialogue was a little cringey

i didnt really like the beginning or the world building or the fact that drue never formally apologized for calling him a monster in the beginning. but it was overall a fine fantasy romance. the characters were pretty good together

this was very informative, but i didnt find all of the attempts at humor funny. also some of the writing was a little too millennial-ish for me. also, a formatting gripe- i wish it had page numbers.

i kind of had to force myself through the beginning, but i ended up really enjoying it!! olivia atwater tackles social issues sooo well. the romance was really sweet; i just wish we got a little more of it
