i did not enjoy this as much as the first one, but i still liked it! the plot wasn’t as good imo, and the logistics of the bond kinda confused me. the characters are awesome tho! i love her character work.

why do the books with the best titles never turn out good?
the writing for this collection isnt bad, but i just was not truly enjoying most of the stories. i was almost halfway through the book and hadn’t rated any of the stories 4 stars. maybe thats harsh, but i just didnt wanna finish. these were the ratings of the stories i read:

this was a solid read! the writing was good, the characters were sweet, and the story was engaging 

to me, the writing in this wasnt quite ~as~ good as cat sebastian’s usual, but it was still good

i liked this book a lot!!! these days, i usually go into trad pub releases with low expectations, but i loved the writing in this, and it made me so emotional 

i liked this a lot more than the last one, because felix is such a sweetie, and i actually did find the writing charming, but there were still some cringey parts, like the use of the word yeeted. i also don’t really care about this world or the plots; i just like the romances. the ending of brie and felix was too fast for me tho. i wanted another chapter or two.

from the cover to the writing, this is the best in the regency vows series! I really enjoyed the characters, especially West, who was a real sweetie. The ending was really nice, and I especially appreciated that most of the reveals occurred earlier in the book, rather than making the reader wait until the end and being disappointing. The flashback chapters worked pretty well, too. I don't love second chance, but I definitely didn't mind it in this. My least favorite part was probably her interactions with Alexandria, because they just felt too far-fetched in my opinion.

i liked the writing and the romance, even though i occasionally struggled with the world building. overall, i think it is a standout book against other fantasy and romantasy titles. 

this was sweet and easy, but there was nothing about it that was particularly memorable to me.
