her instagram captions have made me tear up, so it’s no surprise that i cried on 6 separate occasions in this book. i wished it was longer. i hope she writes more. 

i was not as into the romance as i have been in some of elisa braden’s other books, but i bumped this up to 4 stars because the plot twist made me gasp out loud. 

i don’t really listen to joanna’s music, but i met her at the stage door of moulin rouge in the summer of 2023 and she was absolutely delightful and so kind to everyone in the line. for that reason i am definitely biased toward her. i really commend her vulnerability in this, even though i found the writing to be a little bit cringey. 

honestly idgaf about the stakes or world of this book i was only invested in the romance😭 but i do love the elements of filipino culture in this universe! also: note for future olivia:

her friend tries to kill her at the end in case you forget when you start the next one lmao
