it was pretty cute but nothing like super special imo. and i have heard criticisms about its portrayals of brazilian culture

This book was well-written, a great example of a modernist text, and it proves Sherwood Anderson’s genius, but I just wasn’t that into it. I think I would like it more if I read it at school because I would be able to analyze each of the stories. 

i enjoyed this book! it was a super easy and fun read and i would recommend it to most people. i liked the conflict’s premise but wasn’t obsessed w the execution, and (sorry!) but i didnt love juno. overall, though, it is good, and i liked how they wrote about the stresses of jess’ life

after reading the brown sisters trilogy in 48 hours, i have realized this: they are all structured the exact same. boy meets girl, they become friends, they sleep together, they decide to pursue a relationship, they fight bc one of them feels like they don’t deserve love, they run away without communicating, one of them does a big grand gesture, they get back together, they live happily ever after. also, i hate that she says “belly” instead of stomach. i do mostly like talia hibbert’s writing though. i just wish there was more variety in the way her novels are paced, but i did love them all and will almost certainly reread all of them

a super cute book that i would love to purchase so i can keep it on hand for when i need to reread something light and fluffy! i didn’t love the fight at the end, but i did love the epilogue!!! and i didnt love some aspects of the writing, but overall it was really good!

this book could have been 100 pages shorter if ruby and liam had just TALKED TO EACH OTHER!!!! i love liam so much, and i think that ruby should have had to grovel more. but overall it was a good book with good twists, good characters, and a solid ending. a few scenes were kinda confusing but maybe i was just trying to read too fast bc i was stressed

the first 100 pages or so were a little slow, but after it picked up, i was completely hooked

i probably would have liked this book more if i was 14, but i’m not. it was pretty good, though. i think it’s a good thing for young teens to read.
