even though everyone and their mother loved this book, i still wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as i did. it was WONDERFUL and everyone should read it. 

im pissed off. because i LOVED the first 2/3rds of this book. it was awesome. and i LOVE elle kennedy. this book would have been 4.75 stars if it would have been 200 pages shorter. sometimes, the plot can be over. she didn’t have to keep throwing in twists and turns and obstacles, but she did. and she shouldnt have!!!! im so angry bc this book had so much potential. dean and allie were so cute. but dean REALLY messed up at the end. like REALLY bad. and all he had to do was say “im sorry” and give her space for a bit. it ruined his character for me. im so mad

this book was so wonderful and sweet. im obsessed with grace and logans relationship dynamic. they are perfect together.

things i disliked about this book
1. a lot of the things mentioned were just facts, not “stories”
2. there were historical inaccuracies, such as saying that william henry harrison got sick at his inauguration 
3. the language. this book was written WAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too late to be saying “indians” “blacks” and calling afghanistan “primitive”
4. you could tell that the author was biased. obviously, all authors are biased and it’s very hard not to show it, but this bugged me. 

i wasn’t as attached to the characters as i could have been, and i didnt love michaels characterization toward the end, but overall it was a really enjoyable read. definitely sweet, cute, and comforting. 

the first 100 pages of this book were good, but then it just wasn’t anymore. i didnt like the characterization of cal, he way a terrible friend to deb, there was too much going on, i didnt like the plot, and there was no chemistry between the two main characters. but the writing was okay

this book was simultaneously better and worse than i thought it would be. it made me so. freaking. emotional. like SO emotional

this was sooo good. i want to own a physical copy NOW!!! books that make me as emotional as this one did are the reason i love to read! like, objectively it has some flaws and is a little formulaic, but it made me FEEL so much
