✨ARC REVIEW✨
A sunshiney Honey Witch cursed to never fall in love meets a beautiful grump of a tattoo artist.. what could go wrong?
This book hit all the right spots for me - picture cozy, cottagecore vibes with a dash of regency era, but make it queer. There’s a light sprinkling of spice that definitely leaves you wanting more, especially when “good girl” is involved

A solid 3.5 stars for me - it was goofy and fun and predictable, the audiobook had me laughing out loud at multiple points throughout the book! Would recommend for an easy, low-stakes romcom ✨
Love love looooved this book! The writing was hauntingly beautiful and moody, and the story was so unexpected in so many with a unique magic system and gothic fantasy vibes. Elspeth is fiercely protective and caring, and I loved watching her come into her power, even while losing herself. The Nightmare was so intriguing to me, and the dry banter between him and Elspeth was just so good. And Ravyn.. I mean, how can we not love a dark and mysterious, morally grey man? I am so excited to learn more about him in the next book!
Quick lil audiobook read! For such a short novella, I didn’t love the time jumps as I felt like it might have been more enjoyable to just keep it in chronological order. That being said, it was still a fun read with a bit of tension, some good banter, and a couple spicy lil scenes!
Okay I kinda hate how much I loved this? The audiobook narrators were great, and it was SO delightfully spicy but still had an enjoyable plot! Not the biggest fan of the breeding trope but it’s also not enough to make me not wanna read all of them
What a beautiful ending to this perfect duology! I loved every second of this book - the new POV’s, the slow burn and longing, the twists and turns, all of it. The poetic writing is woven in so well and brings you right into the story. It’s eerie, romantic, and just so INTERESTING.
Just finished this book for the second time and I forgot how much I frickin love it! The slow burn, the character development, especially knowing what it builds to.. I cannot get enough. I could read this book over and over and never get sick of it.
Edit: third reread and I still can’t get enough. This book will forever be one of my all time faves.

Omg guys, I loved every single second of this book!!! It had me giggling at every other sentence, it was just so goofy and sassy and spicy and FUN! Cinnamon is fiercely clever, absolutely hilarious, and just so easy to love. And the big, possessive male with touch her and die energy? Okokok I’m here for it
Thank you to NetGalley and Crimson Fox Publishing for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
I absolutely LOVED this book! Picture The Mummy meets Tarzan meets Sandra Bullock’s The Lost City. It was so different from what I would normally read, and I really enjoyed the dive into the realm of historical fantasy.
Ellie immediately captured my heart with her fierce but dry personality and passion for history and the knowledge that comes from it. Adam was the perfect rugged American counterpart to the proper English lady that Ellie is. The banter is perfect, the slow burn is sloooow but so good, and I just couldn’t get enough of the two of them. The book was really well paced and I loved the action and mystery of it! I also think the author set up the next book really well, and I can’t wait for more!
