Not my favorite horror/thriller. The beginning is pretty boring, the middle does a really good job building up a creepy atmosphere, but the ending gets really confusing and kind of falls flat for me.
Upon googling the meaning of the ending it does make a little more sense, but I think that a better written book would not have needed to be googled to be understood.

PHENOMENAL! The ending made me cry, not because I was sad, but because the emotional journey that Hag-Seed took me on was that powerful. As a The Tempest retelling, it perfectly captured the energy of the play while simultaneously modernizing it. I love how the novel discussed The Tempest, like an English class in a novel, commenting on the themes, characters, motivations, and elements that would be considered problematic by today's standards. Felix was a superb Prospero and an even better protagonist. Hag-Seed was funny, energetic, witty, emotional, and overall a really powerful story.
Read it in one day - so good! I can really connect with Esther. I feel like I understand what she went through.
Not quite as good as It Ends with Us, but still pretty good. No real plot and no real character development, but if since already like the characters, I still liked the novel.
Incredibly depressing take on modern medicine, but with the anecdotes presented I suppose I can understand how where this viewpoint is coming from. Although it was recommended to me by a physician, this novel makes me want to become a physician less.
A solid romance, but I don't think it took enough advantage of the magic
The moors scene is unparalleled. Tagatha is such a legendary ship
