PHENOMENAL! The ending made me cry, not because I was sad, but because the emotional journey that Hag-Seed took me on was that powerful. As a The Tempest retelling, it perfectly captured the energy of the play while simultaneously modernizing it. I love how the novel discussed The Tempest, like an English class in a novel, commenting on the themes, characters, motivations, and elements that would be considered problematic by today's standards. Felix was a superb Prospero and an even better protagonist. Hag-Seed was funny, energetic, witty, emotional, and overall a really powerful story.
