What could have been.... Hillary shows that she is intelligent, insightful, knowledgeable. She would have made the perfect president.

The Magicians is cleverly written but the action is slow and the main characters unlikable. I'm not a huge fan of unlikable main characters and the character growth of the characters came way too late in the story. I won't be reading the next two.

An interesting concept where you know who the killer is the whole time, but there still manages to be a twist at the end. However, I did get slightly annoyed at the main character’s whiny, self-destructive tendencies because I didn’t know what was behind it until the very end. Compelling if not fantastically written. Kept me hooked until the end.

Unsatisfying ending. The story was unputdownable at times and it explored a dark psychology well, but the ending almost seemed to be a setup to a sequel, which I’m not a fan of.

One of the better Amazon Prime Reads books I’ve gotten. The suspense was palpable and I really felt for the characters.
