Apparently Amazon will publish your book if you suggest that post-apocalyptic generations might worship Amazon as the god that created the world.

This was not the worst Amazon First Reads that I’ve read so far, the writing wasn’t bad. But the interaction between the characters, when they finally meet, is subpar and unrealistic. It seems highly unlikely that Lucy would simply forgive Dev murdering the father of her child just because Dev might be on the spectrum.

I’ve decided that the best Amazon First Reads books are the translated ones. This is a decent true crime novel. The suspense is not great, you essentially know who did it from the very start of the book. But it was interesting nonetheless.

The translation wasn’t fantastic, one of the characters was English and the other Canadian and there was absolutely no difference in their tone or vocabulary. You would have never known the one was English. The twist ending was also clear less than halfway through the book, so I was mostly reading to see whether I was right.
