this book is a slow burn, that once ignited is one of the sexiest reads of your life. It’s soft, it’s delicate, it contains multitudes. it’s not just your basic dual pov romance novel. there is childhood trauma being uncovered and beginning it’s healing journey within these pages. it is discovering maybe it isn’t better to be alone maybe i do deserve love after all. It’s putting your faith in others that maybe not everyone will abandon you. it has heart as much as it has desire. it’s one of the sweetest romance books i’ve ever read because it’s so much MORE than just romantic love, it explores platonic love and shows just how important that love also is. do yourself a favor and go read this book i promise you will not regret it.

i throughly enjoyed this short story collection they were raw and honest and made me feel almost every emotion under the sun. a few of them did fall a little flat for me, but i tend to have that issue with short stories.

TW basically everything so read at your own risk!

did you guys know taylor swift wrote the song great war after reading this book? It’s true!

i have no words…sincerely one of the greatest books i have ever read and i feel empty now that it is over…

i really liked this book and am super grateful she opened up as deeply as she did because she really did not owe any of this to anyone, but it touched my heart and i related to these essays. i do feel some of them weren’t necessary to the book as a whole, but understand why adding them helps paint a more vivid picture of who constance is and what her values are. i enjoyed her writing style and storytelling and loved her narration. would recommend this read.
