This is another solid entry in the series but it’s not great and there’s nothing remarkable about it. It is a good book and if you want a good cozy without pizazz, this certainly fits the bill.

2.5 stars. Decent but not good enough for me to read the next one.

Easy to read, really enjoyable series.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were nicely developed and the relationships were on point. I loved the plot and these ethical/moral dilemmas that face the protagonist. Can’t wait to read the next one.

I really enjoyed this. It reminded me a lot of Chelsea Cain’s Gretchen Lowell series in terms of the incredibly dark and twisted relationships that the book explores.

This is another really great book in this series. We get some more answers and information about Michael which I found very satisfying. The new characters were great, the main mystery was great. I highly recommend this series to someone looking for a new cozy mystery series.

This is a good example of false advertising or bad marketing. The book doesn’t deliver on what is promised in the marketing copy. This isn’t a thriller or a mystery. In fact, it’s more of a retrospective contemplation of family dynamics. Which is fine but that’s not what I wanted to read. It’s a real disservice to the author to mislabel the book.

This is an okay book but I’ve lost interest in this series. It’s becoming very tired and stagnant.
