I have mixed feelings about this book. Most of it is a repetition of the first book and rather superficial. However, the underlying mystery surrounding Meg's father's death is extremely compelling. The revelations at the end of this book really make me want to read the next one - except I dread having to get through the chapter structure and the inevitable 'oh yes, I can do (insert extreme sport' and having Meg fail spectacularly at said sport. But I'm a bit of a masochist when I comes to books, so I very well might read book 3.

My copy of this book was provided by Kensington via NetGalley.

This book was little more than a first draft. It had the bones but no meat. Everything was very superficial. There's potential for this to have been a better book but it would need to be extensively revised and added to.

I received a copy of this book from the author for review.

I'm quite fond of this series and the latest entry is no disappointment. I really like cozies that go deeper and uncover buried secrets and this book did a good job of weaving an a long-unsolved crime into the fabric of the town.
