I was hooked from Chapter 1. I had no idea what to expect going into this novel, but I absolutely loved it! I really liked all of the characters, and how much I learned about the behind-the-scenes in the film industry.
I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I enjoyed it, it was a typical highlander romance. No surprises and nothing really stood out, but it was nice and easy to read while waiting for my flight at the airport.
This is a nice, easy read with a great plot. It's captivating the whole way through, the characters are likeable, and there's enough surprises that it doesn't become predictable. I look forward to reading more about Aralorn.
A bit confusing in the beginning because there were a lot of references to past events and characters from the first book that I didn't read. The middle of the book is faster paced but the ending is a bit of a letdown.
Having never read anything about Mr. Poe before, I thought this book was fascinating. Told from the perspective of his mistress, it was very informative. I thought her details of New York in 1847 were quite well done, it felt as cold and as dirty as London often was. Sad though, at the end.
I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Quite an easy read, more twists and turns than I expected so it definitely sucked me in. The characters didn't have time to build too much, but they were likeable and realistic.
This was a fascinating account of life in India and growing up adopted. I loved every second of it and it felt so real I thought I actually knew the characters.
I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I was hesitant starting it because I didn't know how it would be, and ended up Very surprised. It's like a steampunk version of Frankenstein and kept me interested the entire way through.
I was surprised by how much I liked it. I tend to avoid things set in space and I'm not into the Halo-type games at all, but everyone was right and I enjoyed it because of the characters.
I loved this. I went in knowing nothing about either of them, and now I am eager to learn more. This book was delightful, it was dramatic and educational and sucked me right in.
